Royals Major League Baseball

Royals Major League Baseball

Although the Royals are pretty aweful, they have a nice facility and it is really fun (and cheap) to attend a game.

They are scheduled to play Thursday, May 21st against Cleveland at 1:10 p.m. And they play again on Monday, May 25th (Memorial Day) against Detroit at 1:10 p.m.

O'Malley's Pub

O'Malley's Pub

500 Welt Street

Weston, Missouri

This is one of our favorite pubs - it is the tallest building in Weston but it is only one story above ground.

Nationally famous Irish entertainers are a regular feature of O'Malley's Pub, located in three vaulted, limestone cellars of the historic Weston Brewing Company.

There is multilevel seating in the twenty-foot high bottom cellar, fifty-five feet below ground. Those in the middle room can play darts or enjoy sporting events on the seven-foot screen. Snugs, in the top cellar, are ideal for craic (conversation) which is the very essence of a true Irish pub.

Dolphins and Whales
Now - July 2

Dive into a new immersive and highly emotional adventure with Jean-Michel Cousteau’s DOLPHINS AND WHALES 3D.

This awe-inspiring and entertaining film narrated by Daryl Hannah takes you from the dazzling coral reefs of the Bahamas to the warm depths of the waters of the exotic Kingdom of Tonga for a close encounter with the surviving tribes of the ocean.

Fly Me to the Moon
Now - September 13

July 16, 1969: NASA's space program was in full swing. A moon landing was about to become a reality. Astronauts Neil Armstrong, "Buzz" Aldrin and Michael Collins headed up the historic mission. That's what you do know. What you don't know is that "Fly Me to the Moon" is the story of how three ordinary flies, NAT, I.Q. and SCOOTER, managed to sneak aboard the Apollo 11 and forever changed the course of history! Not to mention, gain heroic confidence, overcome a few death-defying challenges and just maybe put an end to the notion that "dreamers get swatted."

Gottlieb Planetarium

This 360-degree domed screen takes you on an incredible tour of the stars. Explore the night skies, learn about famous astronomical mythologies, or watch as lights groove to the beat of classic rock hits.

Showtimes and programs are subject to change. Please call (816) 460-2020 to check our daily schedule. As with all Union Station attractions, the Planetarium is closed on Mondays.

Pirtle Winery

Pirtle Winery

816.640.5728

502 Spring Street

Weston, Missouri 64098

Visitors to Pirtle Winery, located in the former German Lutheran Evangelical Church built in 1867, will long remember their sojourn into local winemaking at it's best. The wine is produced, aged and bottled on the first floor of the two-story brick building with the second floor serving as tasting room and gift shop. Visitors may also taste the handcrafted wines in the wine garden while enjoying a basket of bread, cheeses, fruit and summer sausage; perfect accompaniment to the wine.
