Cut to July of 2008...It all began when we took a few days off work to relax in La Jolla through the weekend. After avoiding a few close calls from Melissa's keen intuitions, I could hardly contain myself and decided to propose to her the first night we got there. We had dinner at a nice restaurant atop of our hotel while watching the sun go down. After stuffing ourselves, we walked off the delicious dinner and took a stroll down La Jolla beach in the warm summer night where we found ourselves swinging on a swing set we discovered overlooking the waves. She asked if I could think of a more memorable night, to which I followed by saying "I think i know what could make this one more memorable." While she was busy looking up at the stars, I took the ring out of my pocket, plant my knee firmly into the sand and demanded she change her last name to FOK. Just kidding, you know how the rest goes.
