Hiram and Tara met in high school. The same high school from which Tara's parents and H's mom graduated as well as Tara's paternal grandparents.

Hiram graduated from South Fayette in the year of 2000. The pair began dating during Tara's senior year in the fall of 2001. The engagement became official Christmas Eve 2006.

Both are currently employed by Verizon Wireless and work at a corporate office north of Pittsburgh.

They have been living in Zelienople since May 2007 and are thinking of making the quaint old town a permanent residence.
