Yeah yeah yeah, it all started on YouTube. Isaac came across Melody's videos on YouTube in the beginning of 2006. He wasn't normally one to watch videoblogs but some reason he was drawn to "BowieChick" and thought she was kind of cool.
Soon after, he began to send little messages here and there to Melody. Not the type that said, "OMG I luv ur vids ur so cool!" but just having a friendly little chat. Unfortunately, Melody was so used to getting a bunch of strangers messages so she just ignored him. Isaac continued to send a little "hello" every now and then.
Soon enough, after Melody realized that this guy kept coming back, she finally replied. It took a while for Melody to view Isaac as a friend and not just some random viewer but slowly it happened. They began chatting more, instant messaging, and sending audio messages to each other.
This friendship started morphing into love but this scared Melody a little since he was so far away. This led to some hard times between them but Melody realized she had nothing to lose. She loved Isaac and they would make it work. By June 1st 2007, they officially became a couple.
Time passed where they spent almost every night talking for hours on Windows Messenger and Skype. With the help of web cams (with mics) they felt almost as though they were together despite the times that their computers froze or the programs stopped working properly. But this wasn't enough. They knew they were in love and they HAD to meet.
By February 23rd 2008, Isaac flew from England to Oregon. They first met eyes in the Portland airport. Meeting in person after knowing someone through the computer screen is so strange. They feel like a stranger but you know them so well. They are no longer as small as they are on the camera! This was the shortest 2 weeks of their lives but was also such a nice and fun two weeks. He stayed until March 6th.
More times passed. They were back to computer communication but time was not lost. Isaac and Melody got to know each other more and more and love each other more every day.
Isaac came AGAIN on September 26th-October 27th. That month had some of the BEST days of their lives (other than the last days where Isaac got REALLY REALLY sick). On October 21st they took a trip to Brookings, Oregon so Isaac could see the beautiful coast. While there, Melody had plans to film a "music video" for a song and knew of Isaac's plans to play a song for her on the guitar.
When they got there and settled in Melody thought it would be a good time to start filming so she asked Isaac to get the camcorder out of the bag. He was down on the blanket anyways and he started reaching to the bag as Melody just scoped the area and watched the water splashing against the rocks. She then heard Isaac saying, "Um... Melody..." but it took her a moment to realize that he had a ring in his hand. That is when he proposed. Of course she said yes!
That was the greatest day.
