Less than 2 months to go..

After my last blog.. I got sick.. Yun na pala yung reason ng pagkahilo ko although it was weird. I had been feeling dizzy for about two weeks before I got the fever. Maybe my body was trying to tell me something. I just wasn't listening.
Anyway, after resting for a few days.. while my fever went up and down, I finally recovered. Again, a lot has happened since then. We had our food tasting with Makati Skyline (while I was sick) and we were satisfied. We brought along Kuya Jim (as usual) so he could taste the food on my behalf.
We've met with Impromptu again one week night in order to discuss where we were with the preps and go through the program draft for the reception. We were really relieved after the meeting. It seems like they really know their stuff and I'm sort of comfortable that our wedding will not be a disaster.
My mom, Espie's mom and the rest of the flower girls finally had their fitting. My mom's gown was nice (sexy!) and I was quite happy. For my mother in law, we made a few changes to the design. I leave it up to Reg to do the rest. We also went to Megamall to buy the lace for my gown (again with a few changes to the design).
I was also able to buy my shoes already from Charles and Keith. I was supposed to have it made but I decided against that. Now all that's left is for me to practice (and pray that I don't fall flat on my face) walking in them. I might have to buy a backup pair for the reception.
Espie had his barong made and after 2 weeks we were able to pick it up along with his pants. I must say, di kami nagkamali sa pagpili ng pinya for his barong. It looks great! Buti pa sya tapos na despite the fact that my gown was started months ago hehe..
The other day we took a leave from the office in order to pick up the documents from the Chancery and submit it along with the endorsement forms, invitation, marriage license and banns to the Manila Cathedral. After much "pangungulit" kay Niceprint and TSG, we were able to get the full names of those who would be at the Church on our wedding day. Finally nasubmit na namin ang forms. We also decided to pay na for the additional flowers and the air conditioning for the church. Plus the electricity for th p/v. (Imagine that! Separate pa pala yun...). We may also have to pay additional pa per piece of equipment that TSG will be bringing into the church. Hayyy.. ang daming gastossss...
Making sure we accomplished everything that we could (ang hirap magleave!), we also paid a visit to Beth at the San Agustin Inner Courtyard so we could talk about the layout of the reception. We already requested for the additional tables and the only pending items there are the emcee and the sound system.
We also have the invitations already.. only two mistakes (one mine and the other by the supplier).. I've already apologized profusely to Miguel and Therese on those counts.. hayy.. I must say the invite looks nice although it would have been better if we found the exact color as the entourage dresses. The maps are done, thanks to my good friend Ibeth =). We've also gotten the gift registry cards from SM and Rustan's although we ofcourse prefer gifts in small packages (hint ! hint !) we didn't want to write it explicitly in the invitations. We've started distributing some of them and hopefully every invite will be out by the coming week. The guest list is about 95% final.
We have also submitted the pictures which will be used for the AVP, TY cards, Sign Frame and Tarp as well as the mp3's that Niceprint will be using.
Our wedding rings are already for resizing and engraving. We expect to get them by the end of November.
We've accomplished a lot in the past few weeks and our target is to have everything organized by the end of November so we won't be thinking about anything but relaxation come December.
Now for the remaining pending items:
1) Song List for the reception
2) Finalization of Program and Call Times
3) Pay a visit to the florist for mock-ups and finalize flower arrangements
4) Gift for principal sponsors
5) Pickup wedding cord and entourage gifts
6) Wine for toasting
7) Cocktails
8) Emcee
9) Sound System
10) Make a call to Joel Miguel and the Bridal Car supplier
11) Make a call to BBC to confirm our reservations.
Just a few more weeks..
