Finally, I've Found my HMU Artist ! =)
I was able to pull Espie into coming with me to the Wedding Summit held by Themes and Motifs at A Venue. It was my first time to go to that mall and I was really surprised to see that it was so near our office. Ang daming nice restaurants. Anyway, my main purpose for going to the summit was to try and see if we could book some of our remaining suppliers. We've basically booked most of them.. the only ones remaining are:
- Bridal Gown (I've sort of set my sights on Reggie Gaba and the only thing stopping me is wala pa akong nakikitang finished gowns. Most of the pics kasi sa w@w are just the lining :( pero still I've decided to get him for our female entourage na)
- Groom's Barong and Pants
- Hair and Make-Up - I was about to text Chichi Sotomil earlier in the day to set up a time and place where we can meet so I could book her. I was happy with the make-up during my trial with her but had some reservations about the hair
- Hotel for Wedding Preps
- Bridal Car and Groom's Car
- Souvenir for Principal Sponsors
When we arrived, syempre all the suppliers were offering us their fliers. We weren't so keen on getting them kasi nga most of our suppliers have been booked. Funny nga kasi two of the major sponsors were our suppliers (Nice Print and Goldenhills) and they were calling us by name na.. haha.. kilala na nila kami. We passed by Jeng Sy-Flores and Carlan Teng's booth pero they weren't free for trial make up until 4PM. Ok lang kasi I wasn't so interested dahil nga medyo set na ako on Chichi.
Then came Joel Miguel's booth along with "The Art of Make-Up Team" (www.theartofmakeupteam.com). His assistant asked me if I wanted to have a FREE trial makeup. I was hesitating kasi nga I knew it would take time and di na kami makakaikot. Pero Espie said na we had nothing better to do anyway kaya I should try it. I agreed but told Joel na makeup na lang. Pero he insisted na their trials were always for both hair and makeup so the full look could be appreciated. Resigned, sabi ko sige na nga.
I was really amazed kasi ang bilis nya gumawa (around 30 minutes). Espie didn't even leave my side and decided to watch instead. He really liked the makeup compared to the other two that he even took pictures of me while Joel was working. I really liked my makeup kasi very natural and flawless ang dating. It was light yet I glowed. I really loved my eye make-up especially what he did with my eyelashes. Joel is also a hairstylist but in order to be more efficient, he had his hairstylist do my hair. The hairstylist (unfortunately I was unable to get his name) was also very efficient. He really listened to my suggestions and he gave me a soft hairstyle that was done in less than 45 minutes. When it was done, I looked at his sign-up sheet and saw that there were two other brides who had the same wedding date as ours. Sabi ni Espie we should book them na agad kaya ayun.. I finally have my HMU artist and I'm proud to be a Joel Miguel Bride. I was able to get all his services at 20% off simply by booking him at the expo. I'm happy hehe.. atleast that's one big item off our list.
About 80% of those I asked said that this is better than my other trials. Pero I would still appreciate your comments. =) Good or Bad.
