Done with Canonical Interview and Pre-Cana Seminar

We took our vacation leave last August 26 in order to have our canonical interview at the Manila Cathedral. The experience was better than expected particularly because of the priest (Msr. Arsenio Bautista) who was such a joy to talk to. It's too bad he won't be the one celebrating the wedding ceremony for us :( Still.. we had a memorable experience..
We also paid in full already for the church as well as submitted our other requirements. There is some hope that Espie won't need to be re-baptized as a Roman Catholic anymore since the church where he was baptized in also believes in the Holy Trinity. Dalawa pala kasi ang Aglipay according to Father Bautista.. the one founded by Fonacier and the other by Delos Reyes. The latter believes in the Holy Trinity and its possible na he doesn't need to convert anymore.
After going to Manila Cathedral, we then went to San Agustin to meet with our caterer. We were also eager to see the newly renovated inner courtyard (now in bricks instead of grass).

It looked a lot larger than we first saw it hehe pero we were satisfied naman. =) Now the next move is to decide if we need to get tents. Naku naman sana hindi umulan at the time. I think it looks better without tents.
In order to get more done, we also had a meeting with our florist at San Agustin. They were kind enough to meet us there and discuss the flower arrangements we wanted for the reception and for the entourage. It was harder for me to choose my own bouquet than to choose the rest. Ang daming choices and our color is a bit hard to match with the flowers. The blue flowers aren't really that nice. So we decided to go with orange, yellows and greens for the overall floral motif. For my bouquet they will be using red and orange tulips.

We also went to the Manila Hotel in order to reserve our rooms na for our wedding preparations. We got a sunrise suite and a superior deluxe room.
Today, we went back to Manila Cathedral in order to attend the pre-cana seminar which is required by the church. We arrived early so we were able to look around. We even went down to the resting place of the past archbishops including Jaime Cardinal Sin.
Exactly at 1PM, we went to the office in order to start the seminar. There were around12 couples present for this Saturday's session. The speaker (gosh I forgot her name!) was really good. She really talked about her personal experiences and we could all just as easily imagine what she was talking about. The seminar was quite short compared to other churches but we thought that the message got through because of the way she delivered them. Overall, we really learned a lot (more than we expected) and hopefully we will be able to remember those lessons pag turn na namin.
Grabe nakakahilo talaga ang gastos sa wedding.. hay naku.. wala ako gana tuloy mag celebrate ng birthday ko for two reasons. First, I can't accept that I'm turning 30! Next.. wala akong pera.. everything is already set aside for our wedding.
