We are so thankful for our wonderful family and friends that have agreed to be a part of our special day!
*The bridesmaid introductions were added by Megan, and after much arm-twisting Jacob added the groomsmen introductions! We're learning compromise!
Misty is my big sister-by 12 years! She lives in Eatonton with her husband Mark and two handsome boys, Walker and Benjamin. She may be 12 years older than me, but she has always made special time for me. When I started kindergarten, she started college and always made time in the summer for me to come spend with her at college. I've always been her little tag-a-long -- I even had to ride in the car with her and her prom date to go take pictures! Misty is my role model and one of my best friends. I personally think I have the BEST big sister in the whole world!
Samantha was my roommate freshman year at UGA and my best friend since the day we met! She graduated in December from UGA and will go on to graduate school. We were introduced through our mutual friend, Meade, who thought we would be perfect roommates for each other. She was exactly right! Sam is such a beautiful person on the inside and out, and I am so very thankful to call her my best friend and now, maid of honor!
Gary is my Dad, and we've always had a close relationship. My dad is my hunting partner, and also my inspiration for joining the military. Gary was a Citadel graduate and retired as an officer from the Army in 1996. He now works at Ft. Benning, GA where he writes field manuals for the Army. I hope to out-rank my Dad's retired rank of Major!
Carrie is Jacob's older sister. She lives in St. Louis, MO, with her husband JonPaul and precious baby girl Lucy Ann. Carrie is beyond smart -- she graduated in 3 years from college with a double major! After spending time as a missionary in Spain, Carrie came home to marry JonPaul. Their love for one another, and for God, is a love that Jacob and I are continually inspired by. Carrie is such an intelligent and caring person, and I'm so glad that she will be my sister-in-law!
Jon-Paul is my brother-in-law, but has always been more of an actual brother and close friend. He is known as "Doc" to many in the family. JP has felt a strong calling to do the Lords work, and even did some missionary work in Nepal before he married Carrie. Now, he attends a seminary graduate school program in St. Louis. When he's not busy with school, or even when he is, he spends his time with Carrie, my adorable niece Lucy Ann, and their huge dog Daisy(a great dane)!
Jackie, or Jack-Jack as I like to call her, is Jacob's little sister. She is a sophomore at Jacksonville State University in Alabama with a major in nursing. While Jacob had me completely terrified to meet Jackie, she quickly became one of my best friends. Jackie is very protective of her big brother, but thankfully she welcomed me very quickly and treated me just like a sister. I can't wait for Jackie to be my sister-in-law, she's always been there for me, and I know she will be anytime I need her!
Clay is my little sister Jackie's boyfriend. I know...I'm supposed to be the overprotective big brother who doesn't like her boyfriends(and I have been that way), but Clay and I get along great. Megan and Jackie both agree that we are too much alike, and we can drive them crazy when we are together. Clay and I have hit it off from the beginning, and I couldn't think of anyone better to be dating my little sister!
Mallorie is in her third year at Georgia Southern University and is the friend I have known the longest! Mal and I met on the t-ball field and played softball together for many years after that. Our friendship went far beyond the softball field. I have so many memories of summers spent at Mal's Nan's house and listening to *N Sync songs(we were obsessed)! She is one of the most dependable people I know and always up for an adventure (which is why I know she'll be our first visitor in Washington). I'm so thankful that she is going to be a part of our special day!
Daniel is one of my many male cousins on my dads side. Daniel and I grew up as best friends. From the time we were young we always built forts and played war on the family farm in Newnan. We definitely share the love for adventure, and went on several hiking trips, with our favorite being our trip to Philmont. Daniel and I are both Eagle Scouts, as well as our fathers, uncle, and all of their sons! Daniel attends GA State University and is very involved in cycling and mountain bike racing.
Calvin is better known as Cook to me, and I am Stallings to him. We were in the same FROG class at NGCSU in 2004 in Bravo Co. We stayed close friends all through college, with both of us trying to stay as far away from the Corps of Cadets as possible (Cook succeeded a little better than I did)! Cook was a soccer player at NGCSU and has plans of coaching soccer.
Meade is a senior at Mississippi State University and one of my best friends. Meade moved to my high school at the beginning of our junior year and soon became one of my favorite people. She has the best sense of humor and can make anyone laugh. She has always been there for me through so much and one person I can always call for a smile! I wish I was able to see her more, but I'm so thankful that she will be a part of our wedding day!
Rex is one of my 2nd cousins on my dads side. We have always been good friends, and always enjoyed family gatherings at the farm when we could fish and hang out. Rex is now in ROTC at Georgia Tech and plans on also commissioning into the military.
Whitney is another person that has been there through everything and a senior at the University of Georgia. We first met while we were in elementary school (at different schools), but we quickly became best friends when we went to middle school together. I wish I knew how many phone calls and notes were made to her, I know there were lots! We always did everything together, we went places together, bought our prom dresses together, and of course had fun together! Whitney is so special to me, and our wedding day would not be complete without her!
Ben was my first friend at North Georgia. We worked on demolishing and rebuilding a house all through college, which we finally got to live in our last semester of college. We were in the same Intro class when we arrived at NGCSU, and were instantly and permanently friends. They went on several trips together throughout college and also worked on many projects together. Ben now lives in LaGrange with his wife Amanda and dog Hampton!
Morgan is one of my best friends from high school and was my roommate my sophomore year of college. She lives near Fort Bragg, NC, where her husband Truett is stationed. Morgan is the one who introduced Jacob and me at our apartment! She has been there through everything and knows so much about me -- maybe even too much! I am so thankful that Morgan included me on her special day and that she is going to be a part of our day!
Adam is my first cousin on my moms side, and the closest cousin to my age (Adam is just barely older than me). Adam and I have always enjoyed spending time together. Adam lives in South Carolina and is a big fan of hockey, music, and movies. He can quote nearly every song and movie ever made, word for word!
Amber is in her first year as a student at the Medical College of Georgia with a major in Nuclear Medicine Technology. She recently married her high school sweetheart, Jason, and allowed me to be a part of their special day! Amber and I first met when we played softball together in elementary school and have been friends ever since. Our parents are also very good friends and even took us on a cruise for our high school graduation!
Jarred is my oldest friend from Georgia. We grew up in school together, and were good friends in high school. Jarred shares my passion for the outdoors, and when we can we like to get together to fish and hunt. Jarred is a graduate from GA Southern, and now does project management.
Catty was one of my suitemates my freshman year at UGA, where she is now in her final semester as a Middle Grades Education major. She was married in December to her husband, Derek. Catty and I have the same sense of humor and always have such a fun time together. Catty spent a semester in Mexico as a missionary, which is where she met her husband. She was always such an encouragement for me in my walk with Christ and is someone I know I could go to with anything. I was so thankful to be a part of her wedding day and cannot wait for to be a part of ours!
Walker is my oldest nephew, he will be 5 in June! He's growing up entirely too fast! Walker enjoys playing baseball and "hunting" with his daddy.
Caroline is Jacob's cousin! She will be 4 in April and is so, so sweet and cute!
Benjamin is my youngest nephew, he will be 2 in May! He's such a happy baby who loves to cuddle with you!
Katie Grace is my adorable cousin! She will be 6 in February, and is the most stylish little girl!
