Curt and I are so happy for you, Carly! It's hard to imagine that little Carly is all grown up and old enough to get married. It looks like he's a GREAT guy! Anyone that has loved Africa enough to live there has a heart of gold and is number one in my book! I hope we get to meet someday, James! Well Carly, I can make a bet that you never thought that I would be signing an online wedding guestbook, but, here I am. (I wanted to finish that off with "rock you like a hurricane" but felt that to be a bit inappropriate. Anyway... I (read: we) are very happy for you, and wish we could get back to help you celebrate, but alas, things don't usually work out the way I want them to. I wish I could end this obnoxiously long, rather boring guestbook post with something profound, or even maybe a bit comical. But, I will just say to you both, Congratulations, I am excited for you. I will not say "good luck" because luck has nothing to do with a good marriage. Next stop, 25 years.

Can I sign my own guestbook? Well, I'll sign the electronic one at least. I'm pretty excited to marry Carly, just so everyone knows. She's such a gentle and quiet spirit, so lovely, and has an incredible heart for the Lord and for me. It's going to be an honor to spend my life with her. Love you, darling!

Just read your "story". All I know is Barb told us at Thanksgiving that Carly had only been dating this guy for several weeks, but that he was really serious about Carly. Next thing you know--the question was popped. Boy, were we surprised!! Congratulations you two! Is absence making the heart grow fonder?
