Hello Out-of-Towners! We are so happy that you are considering coming to New York this summer to celebrate with us. We love you all, and we want to make your trip as seamless and enjoyable as possible. Below you will find some helpful information that will assist you in your travels. Please let us know if you have any other questions...
---We suggest flying into New York on Friday, July 10th and departing sometime on Monday, July 13th.
---You will not need a car while you are here. NYC has great public transportation, and it is very easy to take a taxi to and from the airport.
---We will post some NYC sight-seeing ideas on the website, so please check back periodically.
This is the fastest, most comprehensive way to book your flight. Type in "NYC" for your destination, and it will include a search for all NYC airports. We suggest flying into Laguardia (LAG) or JFK, but Newark (NEW) is also very close to the city. From the airport to your hotel, there are taxis (35 -50 dollars) and public transportation (2 dollar bus/subway ride).

Check out the website for taxi rates to and from the NYC airports. Taxis in NYC are frequent and plentiful. You can catch a cab from the airport upon arrival, but you might have to wait in a taxi line. We suggest calling ahead. Also, if you know your flight arrival/departure time, you can book a taxi online and save some bucks.
What is a trip to NYC without riding the subway? You are totally free to rent a car while you are here, but honestly, it might be more hassle than it's worth. Parking is expensive, streets are hard to navigate, and traffic can be a nightmare. Go Green!
Subways and buses run all night. A single ride is $2, but you can get an unlimited day pass for $7.50.
On the morning of the wedding, you will need to take a Metro North train from Grand Central Station. Tickets are $7.50 each way. We will supply you with all of the specific info when you arrive.
Have fun planning your trip, and let us know if we can help out!
