WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED: December 20, 2007

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Jarred made reservations for us to eat at The Melting Pot for 8pm for the night of my birthday. They sat us in a little booth in a back corner...it was very romantic! There was a vase of roses on the table when the hostess sat us. Then she took our picture and a few minutes later came back with it in a frame!!

We ordered, ate our dinner, and right before dessert he said he had to go to the restroom. Instead he went to his car and came back with a gift bag and told me I had to wait to open it. We waited until dessert came, I made a wish and blew out the candle. Then he told me I could open the gift, so I did and it was a teal photo album of pictures of us that he made. We looked through the album together and the last picture was a picture of the ring.

He proceeded to get down on one knee and said "Caroline I love you more than anything, I love you more and more each day. You're my best friend and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Caroline, will you marry me?"

:) Of course I said YES!!! I had to keep tears from running down my face and ruining my make-up! They brought us champagne to celebrate and we made a toast to us!! It was SO PERFECT!! :)
