Jarrod and Rachel both began working at the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market on Saron Drive before it opened, building it from the ground up. They didn't really know much about each other nor talked a lot at first, but Jarrod grew a crush on Rachel. She worked in the deli while he worked the cash registers, meaning not a lot of time together. But as fate would have it, Rachel had a surgery during the summer and wasn't allowed to lift more than 5 pounds for six weeks. She continued working but needed help sometimes with heavy things and Jarrod was there to aid her! He lifted the heavy things for her, saved her from a huge beatle, and made her feel a lot better just by being there. Soon they were together more often, including outside of work until they finally started dating and fell in love. Sweet and simple.
