The 2nd child and only son of Desiderio Anastacio and Maria Evelyn Cutaran, Joseph EDward Cutaran (or Jed) was born on April 25, 1983 at the Hill Air Force Base Hospital in Ogden, Utah. He has an older sister dubbed Kathreena or Kat or Reena. As with all other Air Force brats, he did not stay there long. Soon after his birth, he moved with his family to Bremerhaven, Germany where his dad was sent to monitor the communist during the Cold War. He spent several years in "The Fatherland" taking in the sites, playing with the little blonde Fraulines, and watching prerecorded episodes of Voltron, G.I. Joe, and Transformers which were sent to him via Betamax tapes from the good ol' U.S.A. by his aunties.
Around 1988 he moved with his family to Clark Air Base, Philippines; welcome to the Ring of Fire! By then he spoke perfect English, decent German, and just enough Tagalog. In the P.I., Jed started to realize that he had a passion for things mechanical and electrical. He used to watch the fighter jets and helicopters taking off and landing as he would ride along in his parents blue Toyota 'Eggroll' van and think, "Dude those things are cool!" At Clark he also was first exposed to Aquanet hair spray (thanks Ate TH-indy and Ate Judy), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Vanilla Ice. His personality was starting to take shape.
Around 1990, a 'several hundred year' dormant volcano right next to the air base decided that it was tired of sleeping and erupted. In a matter of days, Jed went from living the dream to having to evacuate from the ash clouds and acid rain. His family was one of the last to be evacuated from the P.I. and was airlifted to the U.S. via noisy Air Force cargo planes. The next stop was Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Little did Jed know that he was about to set foot in God's Country... the land of Boomers and Sooners, the home of the most Elite University, and battleground of the Greatest College Football program in the entire universe: The University of Oklahoma.
His father spent the rest of his career in Oklahoma and decided to settle his family down in Oklahoma City. Jed finished out his gradeschool by earning his diploma at Midwest City High School (M - Dub - C c c c c). From there Jed moved on to the University of Oklahoma where he earned his Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering. Currently he works as an Avionics Systems Engineer for the U.S. Air Force at Tinker Air Force Base, OK where he works on the B-52H Bomber. He intends to get his Masters of Industrial Engineering in Engineering Management at the University of Oklahoma and eventually own his own Pho restaurant. Well maybe not the Pho part but he sure does like to eat it.
