Town Lake
Town Lake, which was recently renamed "Lady Bird Johnson Lake," is a great place to walk, run or even bike around. If the weather is good, you can even rent kayaks and canoes. It's a great place to hang out and the pug Bouncer's personal favorite.
In the picture, the Radisson (where we secured the room block) is just to the right of the staircase building and sits right on Town Lake.

Going out: 6th Street
The ultimate bar scene is on 6th Street (b/n Congress Ave and I-35). The street is shut down each weekend night providing partiers free reign.
Here you can get your fill of live music, comedy clubs, piano bars and more.

Going out: The Warehouse District
Just south of 6th Street and East of Congress Ave. lies the Warehouse district. It sports more of an upscale club and lounge scene for the crowd that's looking for more than your typical bar.

Good eats

Boutique and vintage shopping in the SoCo area (on S. Congress Ave. just south of Town Lake) and 2nd Street.
Higher end shopping is 20min away at the Domain.
Outlet shopping is just 30-40minutes away.
