The story of Jeff and Gina is this...........Both Jeff AND Gina were on eHarmony, an online dating service. Jeff had been on for some months and Gina had been on for a year. Gina's contract with eHarmony was set to expire on August 13, 2007, as she had pre-paid for one year and was not renewing. Or so she thought....God had other plans! Gina actually went onto eHarmony's website to physically cancel her membership so she would not be charged the renewal $19.99 per-month charge. Several days prior to August 13, 2007, Gina noticed a $19.99 charge from eHarmony on her credit card. Normally the type to argue for the principal of the matter, she let it go and thought, "Maybe there is a reason...." and promptly went back onto eHarmony to MAKE SURE she would not be charged another $19.99 the FOLLOWING month. Well, on August 14, 2007 (the day that Gina should NOT have been on eHarmony), Jeff and Gina were matched up!! The rest as they say ~ is history! Although, we like to say it this way ~ it is HIS story! HIS as in GOD's story! HE knew we would be perfect together! HE knew what we wanted in a spouse! HE even knew what we needed that we were not even looking for! It was all in HIS plan! And in HIS timing! So, today, if you are feeling discouraged ~ take comfort in knowing God knows your loneliness, pain and stress. After all, HE created YOU!

On Saturday, October 6, 2007, Gina was participating in a family yard sale. She and Jeff had plans to meet at her friends Tim and Carolina's home after the yard sale for the two of them to "hang out" and then come back and go to dinner with Gina's friends. Well, Gina's family wanted to meet Jeff before she went out with this "stranger". So, Jeff came over and met ALL of Gina's immediate family! Gina was super nervous, so the two of them left after just five minutes! Jeff and Gina decided to go to Redondo Beach Pier and the cliffs in Palos Verdes. There they played games, got Diet Cokes, took pictures and had a good time. Gina was hoping Jeff would kiss her or at least hold her hand. But, since nothing had been talked about dating and such, that did not happen. So, after a fun afternoon, they headed to the mall to meet Tim and Carolina for dinner. On the drive to the mall, Jeff and Gina talked about the fun they had. Jeff said he would like to see Gina again and she said she wanted to see him again too, but made it clear she only dates one person at a time. Jeff said he did as well. They both said, "So, does this mean we are dating?" And both said, "I guess so!". So, they arrived at the mall, went back to the car for something and on the way back to the restaurant, their hands brushed. (No romantic physical contact had taken place at this point.) When their hands brushed, Gina grabbed Jeff's hand and said, "Is this o.k.?" He replied, "Yes, is this o.k. for you?" She said, "Yes!" and they both walked to the restaurant grinning from ear-to-ear! After dinner, they all went back to Tim and Carolina's house. Gina was spending the night there. When she walked with Jeff to his car, Jeff embraced Gina. Gina embraced him back. A nice, comfortable, safe bear hug.... Jeff told Gina how much of a good time he had with her and she replied she had a good time with him too. Then, he tenderly took her face in his hands. Gina's thoughts were racing at this point ~ Was he going to kiss her? Was this really happening? Would he ask her first? How would it be? Then, very slowly (like in the movies) he leaned down and gently kissed her. The kiss was so gentle, it almost felt as though it did not happen. Jeff kissed Gina again ~ still gentle and romantic........
