How He Popped The Question....

How He Popped The Question....

I think that this is a pretty cute story, but I am a little bias.

In October, we had gone to the jewlery store with Jeff's sister Kristy. Her and I were goofing off and trying on some rings. I tried one on, and just fell in love with it. Over the next couple of weeks I would drop by the jewlery store and pay it a visit.

I had the feeling that something was up a couple of weeks before it all happened. Jeff had called a friend of mine, and I thought that was kinda odd. But he explained it away saying that he thought that I had been hanging out with her. The next day that friend and I went to the mall shopping, and to my horror my ring was gone. The very nice lady behind the counter told me all about how she had sold it to a nice Australian couple who had decided to get engaged while over here. Needles to say I was crushed.

Things settled down, and as Christmas began to approach I began to put any thoughts aside of us getting engaged. On Dec 16th, I spent the day at my parents since Jeff was at work. We had dinner at my parents then Jeff drove me to work since I was working a dreaded graveyard.

Little did I know, that once Jeff had dropped me off at work he called my parents and asked to come back over. Then his nerves hit him, and he had to work up the courage to knock on the door. Once, inside he asked my parents for their permission on ask me to marry him.

At 7am, I got off work and called Jeff a little peeved off. I was off work and I was tired from working all night; Jeff was no where around. He said that he had slept through his alarm, and would be right there. At 7:30, I calle him again. He said he had fallen back asleep. When he finally got to my work, I was more then a little peeved. But little did I know that was all about to change.

As Jeff opened the door to our apartment, I thouoght that I smelt candles buring. I thought that I was really over tired, and took off my shoes. I went to go, put my lunch bag in the kitchen, but when I walked into the living room I was met by two rooms filled with candles. I turned around, and there was Jeff on one knee. He told me how much he loved me, and then asked me to marry him. The first thing that I said was "You left the house with candle burning." Followed by many yes. He then handed me 3 long steam roses and told me that they stood for our past, our present, and our future.

We had some champange, and I called my parents, then I went to bed. When I woke up, we went for a christmas bruch with both mine and Jeff's families. It was the perefect ending to the perfect weekend.

I later found out, that since Jeff had alread bought the ring. He called the store, talked to the lovely sales lady, made up the story, and then described my friends purse so that they'd know who we are. What a guy!
