So, it turns out that a friend of mine from my time at USC is getting married the same weekend as us! We've been exchanging emails and a lot of ideas this week, which has been so much fun. It is really interesting to see what someone else is doing and how different, but the same, two weddings can be. All the parts are the same, but it is those little details that make them all unique. What's funny is that the married people tell me that you won't even notice if those details came out like they were supposed to because everything happens so fast and you are so busy that it is hard to take it all in.
Oh well...we push on through anyway...I feel good about the progress that I'm making. Brandon and I started working on the music this weekend. We don't agree on EVERYTHING, but we had fun on itunes listening to clips and deciding what we want to play. I feel pretty good about what we've selected so far, but we've got a lot of work left to do unless you guys want to hear the same two CD's over and over again. I've got the invitations designed and after our parents have a look at them, we'll probably go ahead and start printing. Brandon's mom and I have started thinking about the rehearsal dinner and we are looking at a few options for that. Oh, and I got a fantastic flower girl dress for Riley! It was a great deal and she looks SO adorable in it. She's such a little princess!
The cool thing I just started working on tonight is the vows. I'm sure we'll go through a number of different versions before we find exactly the right thing. Plus, I'm still waiting to hear from the pastor if it is ok for us to use unique vows...but, it is like I told him - my promise is the same, no matter how we say it! In the end, we'll be married and that really is the most important thing!
