When we met, Brandon had a male cat (Cocoy) and I had a female cat (Cleo). After a while, we acquired another female (Cairo). As of February 5, 2009, there is a new addition to our family. Comet was a stray that we fostered and got attached to. She's a very sweet and lovable cat! They get along as well as ANY brothers and sisters are expected to :) We are all looking forward to being a big happy family!
Brandon proposed on July 23, 2008 while we were vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC. After we had a fantastic dinner at this Italian restaurant (Villa Romana - try it!), we got some dessert to go and went in search of a pier. I had Brandon park at a public access point behind a kind of shady motel, hoping there would be a pier nearby. We never found one, but a fireworks display had just started. We sat on a short concrete wall behind the motel and shared our dessert while enjoying the fireworks. After the Grand Finale, Brandon pointed in the direction of the fireworks and told me he thought they were lighting more. I told him that they don't do any more fireworks after the Grand Finale! He insisted and when I turned to look at him, he was holding the ring and asked me to marry him. I cried and he giggled and eventually I remembered to say YES!!!
