On May 13, 2009 Chad provided me with perhaps the biggest surprise I have ever had in my life! I had been working all day and was not in a great mood when I got home (for those who know me that may not be too surprising!). When I opened the front door I knew something was going on because I did not hear the crashing of a big (and I mean big) chocolate lab coming down the stairs to provide me with a million slobbery kisses. As I slowly made my way upstairs I started to see something was on the living room hardwood. The closer I got, I started to realize that on the hardwood floor were rose petals and a beautiful diamond ring. The rose petals spelled out “I love u Jenny Marry Me”. From around the corner Chad appeared. He looked gorgeous (with a new haircut!). He got down on one knee as I stood shaking and told me how much he loved me and asked me to marry him. I will never forget that moment for the rest of my life. It was the start of the rest of my life.
We are very much looking forward to celebrating the rest of our lives together with family and friends in the Dominican!
