YS Falls & Floyd's Pelican Bar
Saint Elizabeth Parish, Jamaica
The day before the wedding, we are inviting guests to join us on a day full of adventure! We have chosen to head to YS Falls to explore the 7-tiered waterfall surrounded by the lush tropical forest. At this nature-lovers paradise we can zip-line through the canopy, swim in the natural spring pool, river tube, and relax in the gardens!
Then, we'll stop at Floyd’s Pelican Bar. This “aqua treehouse” is situated about a mile off of the coast. Here we’ll enjoy ice cold Red Stripes, the fresh catch of the day, searching for seashells, and sharing our stories of YS Falls!
(Find Floyd's Pelican Bar on Facebook)
This excursion is for whoever would like to go…afterall, this is our guest's vacation too! So we do not want anyone to feel obligated to join us if they have something else in mind…or if they want to do nothing but lounge by the pool or sea!!!

The resort offered soooooo much to do and was soooooo beautiful and some guests (and US) thought it was best just not to leave there for the whole day. So instead of spending a whole day away, wedding guests were invited to join us in going to the cliffs and watching the stunning sunset from the world famous Rick's Cafe!
Shane and I were the only ones in our group to jump...WE TOOK THE LEAP THE NIGHT BEFORE TAKING THE LEAP!
This was so much fun! Everyone enjoyed themselves. We went for a few hours, had a great time, and were back at the resort in time for dinner.
The cost was $20 per person for the shuttle from Sandals...it took maybe 15 minutes to get there...Red Stripes were $3 and Red Stripe Lights were $4 (if you pay cash, you will be given Jamaican currency for change).

Sandals Negril Beach Resort & Spa
Negril, Jamaica
Our wedding ceremony will be arranged upon our arrival at Sandals Negril Beach Resort & Spa. We arrive into Negril 4 days before our wedding & day or two before any guests arrive.
We *love* the gazebo area shown in this picture! The ceremony will more than likely take place there!
We have chosen the Carefree Wedding Package (the basic package). We will also be incorporating a sand ceremony into our wedding.
The Carefree Wedding Package includes:
*Personal wedding consultant * Picturesque wedding location * Preparation of documentation * Certified copy of marriage license * One 5"x7" wedding photograph * "Just Married" T-shirts * Caribbean Wedding Cake * Marriage officiant * Reception for bride, groom and 2 guests * Honeymoon dinner for bride & groom * Continental breakfast in bed * Bouquet and Boutonniere * Goverment/Administrative fees
The flowers included are your choice of daisies or carnations. I am choosing to take my own bouquet & boutonnieres. We also have more than 2 guests, so we will be making a dinner reservation at one of the delicious restaurants at Sandals (we are leaning towards Barefoot by the Sea).
We then plan on celebrating into the night! This is a night when a full moon will also grace our presence!!!
Not all of our guests are staying at Sandals. * The guest pass rates for 2009:
1/2 day pass (9AM - 6PM) per adult: $85
Full day pass (10AM - 2AM) per adult: $130

The day after our wedding, we are off to Ocho Rios for our *SUPER-ROMANTIC* honeymoon! We're adventurers and want to see as much as we can in the short time that we have in Jamaica. And with Sandals "Stay at 1, Play at 7" program, we have full exchange privileges with all Sandals in Jamaica. We will stay in Ochi for 5 nights.
Right now we can't decide whether to stay in the foothills of the St. Ann Mountains in a Plantation Villa with a pool or in a Grande Luxe Oceanfront room overlooking the turquoise sea...now these are decisions that I could used to having to make!!!
We opted to stay in the Grand Luxe Oceanfront room! Loved it!

American Legion ~ Grand Hall
Indianapolis, IN
The weekend upon our return home will be our *Celebration Reception*! This has become THE TASK!
This will be an *Evening for Adults* as we cannot accommodate to everyone who has children (otherwise we wouldn't be able to invite nearly anyone at all!!!). We are just about the only people attending our reception who doesn't have kids!
I am planning on wearing my wedding gown and we hope to have our ceremony on video so it can play before we make our entrance into the hall.
The night will include cocktails, dinner, and dancing! We also plan on serving a signature drink, we're calling it the "Jamaican Smile"...not sure what's going to be in it yet, but we know that's what we're calling it!
