"There are more love songs than anything else. If songs could make you do something we'd all love one another."
- Frank Zappa
Prelude Songs: Songbird ~ Fleetwood Mac & What A Wonderful World (steel drum version by Greg & Junko MacDonald)
Processional Song: Canon in D (steel drum ~ by Greg & Junko MacDonald)
Recessional Song: One Love! One Heart! ~ Bob Marley ("One Love! One Heart!" was printed on the Invites (both to DW & AHR), Photoshare cards, the brochures, and is on our wedding website...LOVE IT and have to use it...PERFECT!)
AHR Introduction: Not Fade Away ~ Rolling Stones version (though I love the Grateful Dead version, we're going with the Stones)
AHR Dinner Music: We're creating a "smooth" reggae mix using Bob Marley,Jimmy Buffett, Jack Johnson, Toots & The Maytals...we might even get real crazy and throw some Peter Tosh in there too!
First Dance: Shane's Choice: Like Red on a Rose ~ Alan Jackson (I'm not sold on the idea yet...good song, but I am NOT a country-lover and can't decide if I can give on this one or not...)
Jenni's Choice: Sea of Love ~ Cat Power (short, sweet, and perfect since we'll wed in Jamaica by the sea!)
Our bold & fun choice to throw everyone for a loop: Delirious ~ Prince
Father/ Daughter & Mother/ Son Dance: NO IDEA! Must give this some more thought!
Cut The Cake Song: My Sweet Love ~ John Mellencamp *or* Sweet Pea ~ Amos Lee
Last Song...if I can wait that long!: Double Dutch Bus ~ Frankie Smith (This song might play more than once at the reception!)

~*So what REALLY happened with the music*~:
Prelude Song & Processional Song:
Canon in D (steel drum ~ by Greg & Junko MacDonald) It worked out perfect - there was no need for more music because everyone was at the piano bar until the WC told them to take their seats. Then it was time for MoH & I to enter the gazebo.
Recessional Song:
One Love! One Heart! ~ Bob Marley
AHR Introduction:
Not Fade Away ~ Rolling Stones version ~ Except DH would NOT dance with me...he pretty much ran to our table and we were seated before the chorus even began...grrrrrr!
AHR Dinner Music:
Used our "smooth" reggae mix with lots of Bob Marley,Jimmy Buffett, Jack Johnson, and I even snuck in a little Mickey Hart playing some steel drums! This was awesome!!!
First Dance/ Father-Daughter/ Mother-Son Dance:
Stir It Up ~ Bob Marley...DH & I started dancing first...then we each grabbed our parent, then we cued for the MOH, BM, my mom, & step-mom to join. This was wonderful because we're not real cheesy...and were having trouble deciding...we all ended up in a kickline and it was a hoot!!! (That's pretty long song!) The only complaint was DH kept saying over and over and over while we were dancing, "I don't know how to dance to this...". *NEWSFLASH, HONEY* ~ you really don't know how to dance period. ;)
Cut The Cake Song:
My Sweet Love ~ John Mellencamp ~ But, no one could find the cake knife, so by the time we actually did cut the cake I have no idea what the DJ had playing.
Last Song...if I can wait that long!:
Double Dutch Bus ~ Frankie Smith
And it did indeed get played more than once!!!
