This is where you'll see most of the updates coming from. In true form of a blog, here, we'll write about how plans are going, what we're doing, how we're feeling, etc.
One month today. I still can't believe it all happened. The planning had an end, indeed. Thinking about it all over again, I still get super emotional thinking about how it felt to be in a room packed with people with the sole purpose of supporting and loving me and Jeremy. It occurred to me only as our fabulous families were still helping set everything up about at 4:30 how unbelievably lucky Jeremy and I are. We are have been showered with loving, giving people. I never even thought that...
So you're wondering where we are? (Even though you're not; you know.) We're scrambling to get things finished (us and everyone else in our lives-- THANKS everyone!). We apologize and promise you'll think it's worth it once you get to Noah's. We PROMISE. TWO DAYS! YAY!
I'm going to be sick over Christmas break. I'm sick today-- really not feeling great. And am so sad that I'll be sick for Christmas, but another part of me is really happy that I am not going to be missing work because of getting sick. I really can't. I am so sorry it's been like... two weeks since I last blogged. We bought a car (yikes!), Jeremy got through finals, and I've been plugging away at the wedding planning and now, here we are. :) The car we bought was a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer....
Wow. This is happening. It is totally happening. Pretty much all of the wedding planning has been quiet until yesterday. It’s just been me and Jer talking about things in our wedding planning fort and drawing sketches and making lists and talking to people. But now... now it's more real because we're sharing it. I do this with my thoughts, too. Sometimes they're not real to me until someone else hears them. We sent announcements out on Monday and started catching word of folks receiving...
Out of love and really wanting this wedding to be personal for us and for you, Jeremy and I have decided to construct these invitations by hand-- from the speckled, recycled paper to the flawed typewriter-written message; the only thing we're not doing is making the paper from pulp*. We hope that people will see them as invites saturated with love and uniqueness. Cuz they totally are. (I've been reading this blog far too much. It's funny, though...) We've considered SO many other options:...
The process of coming to the conclusion that I wanted to marry Chelsea was basically realizing that she is the most important person in the world to me, and that that shift wasn’t going to change. Now that she has surpassed all friends and family in my priority list, it has helped me really assess the importance of those people, and the roles they will continue to play, in my life. I have moved far enough away from the forest that I can see the trees, if you will. And please do.

It is quite possible that this engagement photo is my favorite. It's not really one that we'd use for our announcements or to give to lots of people, but every time I look at it, I get the same sensation as actually being hugged by that wonderful, wonderful man with his wonderful, wonderful hugs....
My best friend/informal Maid (matron? she is married...) of Honor, Sara, dutifully outlined my and Jeremy's wedding as she could see it. I felt super excited and flattered to see what would happen if I had left it all up to her-- and to be honest, so did a REALLY good job. Check it out here . (http://thesecondhandlife.com/?p=123)
To those who don't know, I like organizing. I like the look of things when they are accessible and neat; I think it's genetic. Every apartment I've lived in, I've aimed at making my spaces look like advertisements for, well, IKEA, but it's never worked out. I didn't have enough space or I knew I wouldn't be there long enough to justify buying a piece of furniture that would help with the process, and the end result has been lots of throw-away pieces of furniture, easy-move linens and lots and...
Jami released a teaser of the engagment pictures we took yesterday on her site here . Hooray!
