Two things to know if you choose to give us a wedding gift:
1) The kinds of things we really need are bigger things: a tv, a couch... etc. However, they are too much to ask for from one person.
2) There are all sorts of other things we'll need in life: camping gear, fine china, a puppy... but we don't have room for them right now. We're barely going to fit the day-to-day living essentials in our apartment-- let alone the decorations, extra linens, small appliances etc. We are going to be living in an exceptionally small apartment.
Taking those two things into consideration, while it may not be as much fun for you to give us, what we'd really appreciate (and what we really need) are gifts in the form of deposits to our Matrimoney account. That way, we can use your gift in the way it will be most helpful to us (pooling it to buy a couch and a tv, etc.) We'll post pictures afterward so you can see what you chipped in for. :)

This website is wicked cool. It sticks it to the man by not telling people exactly what to get and where to get it from. Rather, it is just a universally-accessible place where we can say, "we need this" and you can say, "I got it. No one else get that."
