Jeremy and I met in a very different way. I was sixteen years old and spending my midwinter break at my cousin Alajiah's house. We decided to get online and she began to talk to her online friend Jeremy, a seventeen year old guy from California. I immediately started talking to him to, and we talked all night and throughout the week. After I went home at the end of my break, I added Jeremy to my instant messenger list and we continued talking. A year and two months later, Jeremy flew up to Seattle to meet me for the first time. Our parents were terrified, but after talking online and the phone for over a year, we knew each other well. We spent ten days together and from the days we laid eyes on each other, we knew we had something special. That summer, two months after our first visit, I flew to California to spend six weeks with him and his family. After that I returned home to Seattle to finish my senior year in high school but we still managed to see each other every month, the entire year. After my graduation in 2005 I moved down to California to be closer to Jeremy and to attend school. I lived in California for nearly 3 years until I recently moved back to Washington to attend Western. On June 17, 2008, after being together nearly five years, Jeremy proposed. He made me a scrapbook, telling me all the reasons he loves me and wants to be with me, and then got on one knee. Of course, I said yes!
