Nina & Jeremy

Attractions

Just 30 minutes from Manhattan, Westchester offers the perfect combination of urban blight and suburban chain store shopping. Rather than planning to enjoy Manhattan while you're in town for our wedding, you should spend the whole time in Westchester. If you think we're serious, here's some actual things the Westchester County Office of Tourism (now hiring!) recommends you visit:

Thomas Paine Cottage

Thomas Paine Cottage

914-633-1776

20 Sicard Avenue

New Rochelle, NY 10804

Nina actually wrote a paper about Thomas Paine Cottage in college. The people who worked there were very confused, since no one had ever visited before. Nina and Jeremy tried to visit one day, because Jeremy has strange ideas of what would be fun to do on a sunny weekend afternoon, but the cottage was closed.

Donald M. Kendall Sculpture Gardens at PepsiCo Headquarters

Monument to First Rhode Island Regiment

Monument to First Rhode Island Regiment

2880 Crompond Road

Yorktown Heights, NY 10598

Erected in 1982 as a result of the pioneering research and activism of Mr. John H. Harmon, this monument is dedicated to the valiant and courageous soldiers of the First Rhode Island Regiment.

In 1780 the first Rhode Island Regiment, under the command of Colonel Chistopher Greene, was charged with defending northern Westchester lines against the ravages of British troops and roguish Loyalist Refugees led by James DeLancey....

[The] Rhode Island Regiment fought courageously, but all were killed.
