It's funny how things work out even if it seemed utterly utterly ridiculous at first...

We met in 2005 at Fluor. My friend Ely told me there's this new guy who wants to get to know me. I asked Ely for the guy's picture.. and when I saw his pic...I thought to myself "uh-oh! he is so not my type!" and I had to think of one good alibi to dismiss the guy gracefully. hehe! I told Ely that the guy is too much of a wimp for me, because he had to have a middle man to approach a girl. I can't remember if Ely told him about that, but then one day I received a message from him through sametime (our office instant messaging system). We chatted for a while. I somehow found him funny but all the more weird because of his out-of-this-world "hirits" and then he came up to my place and gave me a gift, an angel figurine. It was nothing special actually because I later learned that he also gave similar gifts to a few more girls. Nice move di ba? Anyway, a few days later, he asked me if we could have dinner together. He must've sensed that I was hesitant so he (defensively) ASSURED me that it's not like we're going out on a date. He also offered to drop me off our place since our house is on his way home. Nothing fancy, just two colleagues having dinner together on the way home. Just that. And after a few arguments with my alter-ego, I hesistantly gave in and said, "ok". So after work, we met and he asked if we could join some of his friends and hang out. I thought to myself, "OMG! baka may makakita sa amin na taga-office na mga admirers ko...akalain nila boyfriend ko to!".. haha! I know how silly that sounds but that's how it was for me. So I told him we should just eat on the way home or somewhere private that we could talk (translation: sa lugar na wlang makakakilala sa akin mashado). So we went to Mcdo (Petron). I actually enjoyed our dinner because he was talking non-stop and being his funny self. There was never a dull moment. After he brought me home.. I thought to myself again.."not bad... not bad at all".. And that's how it all started...

I can't really think of the right story to share to make up for the 2 years and counting that we have been together because there's just so many stories to tell. We're like this super crazy couple who's been in and out of everything. We've definitely had our share of not-so-good moments but despite and inspite of everything that we've been through, I'm happy and lucky to have him in my life. I remember praying to God way way back when Maine & I were just starting out as a couple, I did not pray to God that He spare me the heartache of knowing Maine, I just prayed that if this guy is worth all the pain in the world that a girl can have, please make him stay. Otherwise, please take him out of my life ASAP! Well, you know now what's God's answer to my prayers. We're happily engaged and soon to be married.

It's really funny how things work out even if it seemed utterly utterly ridiculous at first..

And they live happily ever after... The end.

Our ever after...

After the big event, we'll finally be together forever and ever in a land far far away. Korea!!!
