Jesse & Monica

Accommodations

We are so grateful to our friends and family for traveling to celebrate our wedding with us in the northwoods! There are many different options for lodging. Some of the lodges that we reserved below are filling up fast, so be sure to secure your reservation as soon as possible.

If you are interested in other options, check out Manitowish Waters' Chamber of Commerce website: manitowishwaters.org/stay/ for lodges, cabins, and house rentals.

I also found this website with local campground information. Camping is not available on-site at the wedding venue, but there are many campgrounds nearby. www.camping-usa.com/campgrounds/wisconsin/manitowish-waters/

Timberline Inn

I believe our room block is full, but it doesn't hurt to call to see if there have been cancellations. This place has a 2 night minimum, and rooms range from $99 - 125. It is where my parents stayed when Jesse proposed, and it is within walking distance of the wedding venue.

Rustic 6 bunk cabins at the Discovery Center

There are several rustic cabins with 6 twin beds that are available for guests of our wedding who want to stay on site (Monica's family and Jesse & Monica are taking the Director's lodge and apartment lodging on Friday and Saturday nights). The cabins are across from the bathrooms and showers (read: I mean, they are literally just bunk beds, and you would need to bring bedding -- just like summer camp!), and they are just a short walk from the edge of the lake where you and your family can use free kayaks and fishing poles to enjoy the small lake. There is a small beach area in addition to the dock in front of the amphitheatre where Jesse and I will say our vows. There are also hiking and biking trails in the park as well. Dogs are allowed in the park (Rosie will be there!), but need to be on leash at all times. To book these cabins, please call Monica's family. The rate is approximately $130 / night.

Winchester Wilderness Inn

10237 Country Rd West

Presque Isle, WI 54557

This is an economical way to enjoy the up north scenery! This is an older motel that is quite close to our wedding venue. Rooms are available for $57/night (and that price is including tax). There is no restriction on the number of nights or which night guests choose. We have 9 rooms blocked here, reserved for our guests.

Sportsman's Resort Motel

Their website says it best:

(715) 686-2232

7117 County Hwy W

Winchester, WI 54557

Their website says it best: "More amenities than a motel, more economical than a resort." Only a few miles away from our venue, this hotel has various room options available: 2 queen beds cost $85;1 queen bed with pull out sofa costs $65; and a King room costs $55. All knotty pine rooms have full kitchenette facilities with picturesque lake views. All rooms available for Saturday ONLY. The hotel reopens in May, and we have 5 rooms blocked here through the beginning of June.

Acorn Lodge

This is one of the nicest hotels we found! It features a pool, rooms with Jacuzzis, and all rooms have huge windows to watch the wildlife outside (many rooms face a deer feeding area). This hotel is also very close to the cute Boulder Junction downtown area, which is 15 miles from our wedding venue. We have a block of 12 rooms blocked for our wedding party, including rooms with 2 queen beds for $109.99, and 1 room with 1 king bed for $134.99. 6/16/14 -- We still have 7 rooms available, 6 of which are available for a 2 night stay, and 1 of which is only available on Saturday night.
