Ceremony Location - Bethany Lutheran Church
Beautiful church with an amazing organ and a long aisle. There are huge stained glass windows down both sides of the sanctuary and the purple carpet is not eye catching in person. The pastor of the church is a very nice guy and the price we paid to have the ceremony and rehearsal dinner was tiny! We were allowed to bring in our own minister to perform our ceremony.
Overall, the church was amazing! Everyone kept telling it is was really beautiful and we didn't even add any decorations (there were nice decorations already in place for the holidays).
Reception - Crowne Plaza Hotel
The Crowne Plaza was a beautiful place for our reception. The price was great too. As long as you meet the minimum revenue, which is very easy to do since they cater their events and provide the alcohol. The coordinator, Cindy Beason, was very helpful during the planning process. Helping us think of all the details and making our vision a reality. Don McGhee was the day of director. He was great! He made sure everyone was on the same page. The wait staff, dj, etc. All of the details were exactly as we had discussed in our planning meetings, the food was delicious, and the wait staff provided excellent service. We were given the bridal suite complimentary and they put a plate of snacks in the room for us that night. The rooms there are amazing and not a bad price. All of our guests that stayed there were really impressed!
The minuses: you have to use them for food and drinks; the bartender for the wedding was rude to several of our guests but the coordinator and director said they will be speaking to the bartender
Overall, we were really impressed with the place!
Diamonds Direct - Crabtree
My e-ring and both of our wedding bands are from Diamond's Direct Crabtree. Great prices and service. They are always happen to clean or even re-dip any of my jewelry; including my cheap earrings I got from a department store.
Flowers - Sam's Club
I was really impressed by the flowers I ordered from Sam's Club's website. They arrived exactly when they said they would. They arrived kind of beat-up looking like I had read but after being trimmed, put in water, and removing the guard petals they looked amazing! They opened up and got huge! I highly recommend them for cheap, good quality flowers.
I would recommend having them delivered earlier than I did though (I got them Thursday morning for a Saturday wedding). They had opened a good bit when I assembled them on Friday, but if I had gotten them a day (or maybe 2) earlier they would have been huge! And they were still alive when we got back from our honeymoon (10 days after being delivered).
Boogie Nights DJ - Michael Branson

I can not say enough great things about this guy. Michael is the owner and operator of Boogie Nights which is based in Denver, NC. He personally meets with you where ever is convenient to you (he came all the way to my mom's house, a 45 min drive for him) to help you decide on all of your music. He was really good at reading the crowd and keeping everyone dancing. He even taught us the steps to some of the party songs. He was very professional and worked with the director to keep everything running smoothly. For example, my mom decided last minute she wanted a picture with all of her family that was at the reception. Michael kept the music going and even played the "We are family" song which was really appropriate.
His prices is very reasonable and he is flexible with the time. He let us decide at the reception whether we wanted 4 or 5 hours. And the lights he uses are including in his price (we talked to some DJs that were charging hundreds extra to add lights!)
Overall, he was the best DJ either of us had ever seen. We had lots of guests tell us how impressed with the DJ they were. I very highly recommend him.
Cake - Karen's Cakes and Cafe Pharr
Karen's Cakes is a small privately owned bakery in Statesville, NC. I can't say enough good things about her! Here cakes are so moist and delicious and were by far the cheapest cakes around! We gave her a picture of a cake we liked and she replicated it perfectly and matched the colors to the fabric samples we gave her. She has odd operating hours but they worked really well with our schedule so I actually like them better than normal business hours.
The only downside is that delivery outside Statesville can be a bit pricey. The incredibly low price of the cakes kind of make up for it. And Karen and her husband delivered our cake even though we had a pretty big snow the day before. When I emailed her panicking Friday night she told me "We have 4-wheel drive, we'll be there don't worry."
Overall, I would highly recommend her to anyone getting married around Statesville (we got married in Hickory).
David's Bridal
My dress and all of the bridesmaids' dresses are from David's Bridal. Lots of affordable styles.
Men's Wearhouse
All of the tuxes are being rented from Men's Wearhouse to coordinate with the colors of the girls' attire.
