West wrote a poem and placed it in a bottle that a boat driver threw onto Lovers' Beach late on the 5th of May, 2007. He had the ring I picked out in Victoria months before! So romantic and it was funny when we were worried about the boat crashing into rock cliffs, and having to possibly hike over the rocks between us and the main part of town.
