At Chris and Rosa's wedding, Doug and I were introduced to a Puerto Rican tradition, Godparents of the Matrimony. Godparents are suppose to be a couple that the bride and groom look up to and have a marriage they would like to emmulate. Chris and Rosa are that couple for us. We have watched their two beautiful children grow up and we can't help but smile when we see the love the two of them have for each other and their family. Therefore, we decided to adopt this Puerto Rican tradition for our own wedding...although, neither of us are Puerto Rican. hah
