Our Story
This is the story of us...
How we met...
Our first date...
In late Oct 2006 Steven and I met online. After a few weeks of chatting and text messaging we decided to take the big leap and meet!
Our original plan was to go see a movie... but not planning ahead we didn't check the movie times and had about an hour to kill...to pass the time I challenged Steven to a few rounds of air hockey! were of course I came out the champion ;)(this is how my version goes...) And Steve came out of his shy shell at this point! After the movie (Stranger than Fiction) we didn't seem to want to part ways... so seeing as it was still before midnight, we decided to go bowling! where we flirted shamelessly with each other the rest of the night...Steven said he would make random excuses just to get close to me! The rest is history...
Our first date was Nov 13 2006 and this is the reason we have chosen to get married on that date. Two years after our first date we will become husband and wife!
Our Engagement!
The proposal
Steven and I went to Disneyland for a mini vacation almost a year after we met... On our final day at 7am in the morning right there in front of the park, by the flower Mickey we were getting our picture taken and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him... only thing is... it was a BIG plastic ring! who cares? I loved it! I was saying yes no matter what!!! I was so happy!
About an hour later...Steven handed the camera off again and in front of Cinderella's castle and he got down on one knee yet again and proposed! to my surprise! another HUGE hunk of plastic green ring! (my birthstone) once again I accept and we go on our way... I'm obviously thinking he's nuts now! But still of course over the moon!
and thinking maybe there's still more to come... and there was...
A few hours later we decided to head over to California Adventure and go on my FAVORITE ride! The Tower of Terror!!! so as we hit the top of the ride, and the camera is taking our picture he pulls out another big ring! and asks again! this time its a blue colored ring! I accept yet again...
At this point I decide to pat him down and check for more rings... no success! he's clean!
But it didn't end there! after a few hours I figure thats it! no more big plastic rings! he's done proposing for the day! and seeing as I patted him down and he didn't seem to have any more rings... I was safe! but nope! at a romantic dinner him and I are talking and he pulls out a pink one and proposes yet again! and once again I accept! he tells me "thats it no more!" and that we are now OFFICIALLY engaged!!!
so at the end of a sixteen hour day at Disneyland and California adventure we decide to call it a night and head back to our hotel after the fireworks... but first he wanted to go check out the castle at night... we head around back and spot Snow Whites wishing well... with only a few people surrounding it... but as they leave its just him and I and he tells me to turn around and make a wish! as I'm making my wish he pulls out the real deal and gets down on one knee and says "Did you make your wish? because I made a wish too! and my wish came true! my wish was you!" and he asked me to marry him again! but with tears in his eyes! as we both stood there in total bliss the bells in the castle start ringing! it was so pretty! like out of a movie! I couldn't be any happier!!! he is the love of my life and my best friend!!! I cant wait to become his wife!!!
