Swim, soak, and sauna in our atrium pool area. Hike 8 miles of scenic and geologically unique trails. Enjoy a pleasant stroll around the Lodge grounds and our Marina area. Savor sunset hour from our Great Room or Brussels Terrace.
Wine and dine in our rustic chic dining room. We offer breakfast, luncheon, and dinner menus with enough variety for all ages and taste buds. In addition to our family style fried chicken and catfish, we offer a unique selection of elk steaks and burgers. Other than shoes and shirts, we do not have a dress code.

Explore our local flora and fauna. Pere Marquette lays within the Mississippi valley flyway heavily trafficked during spring and fall bird migrations. Eagles, pelicans, ducks and geese, as well as a variety of songbirds, visit and also make our park their year round home. White tail deer, small woodland animals, reptiles, amphibians, and insects can also be observed in their natural environment. Many varieties of trees and plants are here too.

Get a game going. Board games, volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, washers, and lawn games are available at our front desk. Try your hand in our craft corner. A variety of seasonal activities are offered including make your own ice cream, cooking and water fitness class, telescope star watching, outdoor movie night, kite flying, and wine sampling.

Browse our quaint neighbor town of Grafton, IL. A small town mix of a variety of shops, as well as dining choices are open year round. Mini golf available too.

See the sights of Calhoun County. Seasonal produce stands and country stores dot Calhoun County, IL. Many family owned orchards offer delicious peaches, plums, nectarines, and apples. Plus a variety of other seasonal produce, home baked goods, and crafts. It is always a beautiful drive through this unique & scenic agricultural county.

Take a pedal cruise along the 25-mile Sam Vadalabene Bike Trail that starts (and/or) terminates at our Lodge. Bring your own or rental available at Grafton Canoe & Kayak. Bicycle trail is also open to joggers and bladers.

Throw out a line. You may fish at designated areas near the Lodge. Illinois license required. Starter equipment available at our Lodge Shop and also in Grafton.

Be an amateur geologist. Pere Marquette is a rock hound heaven. Don’t forget, you can look but it is illegal to remove anything from the Park or Lodge grounds.

Join the horse set. Guided trail rides available at Pere Marquette State Park Stables April – November for those 10 years and older. Pony rides also offered.

Go antiquing in both Grafton and also along nearby Alton, IL’s antique row. From treasures to junk, nifty items await your discovery.

Journey through history at Lewis & Clark State Heritage Site #1 & Interpretive Center located in Wood River, IL. Melvin Price Lock & Dam #26 & National Great Rivers Museum offers the sole tour available of an operational lock & dam on the Mississippi River.
