The Muckenthaler Mansion
(714) 738-6595
1201 W. Malvern Avenue
Fullerton, California 92833

Here's some info and history about the mansion: The Muckenthaler home was built by Walter and Adella Muckenthaler in 1924 on eight acres located atop a hill in Fullerton. Designed by architect Frank Benchley, the Italian Renaissance-style structure is reminiscent of buildings constructed for San Diego’s 1915 Exposition in Balboa Park. The 18-room mansion was donated to the city in 1965 by Harold Muckenthaler who wished to see his childhood home used as a cultural center for the public to enjoy. In 1999 the Muckenthaler mansion received designation by the National Register of Historic Places.

Cafe Hidalgo
(714) 447-3202
305 N Harbor Blvd Ste 111
Fullerton, CA 92832

The beautiful venue, Villa del Sol, holds not only Cafe Hidalgo but a few other amazing restaurants, a fun sports bar, boutiques, and offices. The Spanish style villa, first named The California, was built in 1922 as an impressive 121 room hotel at the time it was one of only two hotels in North Orange County. In 1969 the California became Villa del Sol and home to retail stores, restaurants and offices. Today the original name is still printed on the side of the building facing Harbor Blvd and still has a lot of the original beauty. Being within historic downtown Fullerton gives it a perfect location with the area's liveliness and catering to history. Check out:
