Delicare

The woman at the bridal store has introduced me to the most fascinating laundry detergent I have ever known. Delicare. I cannot believe I have never heard of it until she told me to wash my wedding dress using Delicare. I have never even seen it on the laundry detergent shelf. She even gave me half a bottle so I didn't even have to buy one of my own, but the next time I go to the store, I am going to be sure I grab a bottle to keep on hand.

Yes, I washed my wedding dress. In the washing machine. Per the suggestion of the bridal store, I bought a white mesh laundry bag. I picked up a $1 beach toy bag at the dollar store, it was white, mesh like with a zipper. What a steal!

I did exactly as the lady told me. I treated certain areas with Delicare and a toothbrush and let it set for about 10 minutes. I then put the entire dress inside out in the laundry bag. I tossed it into the wash with some delicare and a towel (she suggested a sheet, but we don't have any white sheets, so a cream towel had to do). I ran the extra gentle cycle with the lid open. I set the timer and after it was done washing, I let the dress sit in there for 30 minutes. I shut the lid and let the cycle finish.

When the washer stopped, I took out the dress and hung it up and it looked great. It needs to be steamed, but I have lots of time to figure out that before October!

Good work - that's what I'm talking about - wearing it twice & getting your $ worth :)
