Rob has been one of Mark's best friends since middle school. Were they not best friends they probably would have killed each other while sharing a room in their first NYC apartment. Thankfully for us all, Rob is a truly kindhearted and giving person who has agreed to preside over Mark and Kate's union.
Margaret is Kate's mom and the person she calls several times a week (even when she's not planning a wedding). In Kate's opinion she's the best mom in the world and she's lucky and proud to have learned how to be a woman from such an inspiring, selfless person.
Hilary and Kate (known to each other as Hil Hil and KK) have been best friends since they were 16. They have shared many good times throughout the years, including dance parties, and extreme makeovers, and lots of cooking and eating -- check out their joint blog Food Babies (http://kkhilhil.wordpress.com/).
In 2009, Kate had the honor of being a bridesmaid in (and helping plan) Hilary's wedding, and she's pleased to return the favor!
Shawna and Kate have been friends since they met on Kate's first day at Eastern Michigan University. They shared an apartment in college and then again in Brooklyn. They've traveled together, laughed together, sang and danced together, lived together, and celebrated all of life's ups and downs together. Shawna has been one of the most dependable people Kate has ever had in her life, and she's made life in the big city feel a lot more like home.
Dave and Dottie Beazley are Mark's parents and have always loved and supported him (even when he misused their car). He would not be the individual he is today without their guidance and constant encouragement.
Jason and Mark bonded in middle school over a mutual enjoyment of Ninja Turtles and comic books. Their relationship evolved to include a mutual love of buffalo wings, roller coasters and horror movies. They enjoyed each other's company so much that they decided to live together -- twice. Jason and Mark are kindred spirits and true friends.
Peter helped Mark keep his sanity while toiling through mindless restocking at his first job at Beachhead Comics. Peter became a mentor and true friend who shared the joys of geekdom. Mark has rarely laughed as much as felt as welcomed as by Peter and his wonderful family.
Mark's niece may need some help totting down the aisle. She'll likely be assisted by Mistress of the Petals and Mark's sister, Karen McFaul. Kayleigh loves Abby Cadabby and believes in Snuffleupagus. She enjoys watching baseball and football with her daddy.
Andrew is Kate's favorite man under the age of 30 in the world, he also happens to be her nephew. Andrew will be almost finished with the 1st grade by the time of the wedding, but he will forever be "baby Andrew" to his Aunt Katie. Andrew enjoys bouncing on his trampoline, dressing up in disguises, and writing and illustrating the ongoing adventures of the Salami Kid comic books for his Uncle Mark.
Karen introduced Mark to television at a young age -- dropping him on the TV while trying to teach him how to turn the dials. He blames all his mental deficiencies on that. While they didn't always get along while growing up, Mark has always been able to depend upon her for advice and tremendous support in his toughest times. He is honored to be her brother and the godfather to his niece.
Mark is Kate's older brother, and Andrew's dad. Despite how much he tormented Kate when they were kids, they have managed to become friends as adults. He will help Andrew in his ring bearing duties during the wedding, should he need any assistance, as well as help direct you to your seat.
