Sam & Sarah are Katie's cousins who lives in Phoenix, Arizona. She used to babysit them when they lived in Dallas. Sam & Sarah moved to Arizona more than 3 years ago & Katie misses them more than ever.
They were always thought of in being a part of the wedding & we couldn't imagine them not being there! Love you & miss you Sarah & Sam!

Katie and I went to different schools in high school (9th-10th grade) and were both officers on our school drill teams. When our schools merged into one for 11th and 12th grade, Katie and I soon struck up a friendship.
We were always goofing off and having a blast on the team. I didn't start driving until I was 17 so Katie drove us everywhere. While in the car, we would make up fun car dances while rockin' out to Salt n' Pepper. When I finally got my car, we had renamed both of ours. Katie drove a Corvette Accord and I drove a Jeep Tercel, good times!! We separated briefly while we attended different colleges but grew close again after we both moved back home.
Katie is my kindest and most loyal friend. She has grown into a remarkable woman and I'm so happy to be considered one of her friends and am so pleased to be a part of Katie and CJ's special day.
I met Katie and Meg at Harrington Elementary. One of my earliest memories of my friendship with Katie is dressing alike trying to persuade people into thinking we were twins. As 8 year olds, we thought being the relatively same height and having blonde hair (or green depending on the amount of swimming we did that summer!) was enough to fool anyone. :) Really, I thought she was pretty and cool and to resemble her was a compliment. I’ll never forget asking strangers at the mall, “Did you think we’re twins?” As we wore our coordinating pink and purple outfits designed by Katie herself. As the years went on, we realized the gig was up and went along becoming our own people.
We enjoyed playing softball together for many years, cheerleading, and some tennis lessons in there somewhere, trips to New Orleans and camping. I consider Peggy, Jerry and Jeremy an extension of my family as a result of all the time I was privileged to spend with Katie growing up.
As the high school and college years came upon us, we branched out to new endeavors, temporarily splitting the close bond we had created. But, soon enough, we were reunited and our friendship has grown.
Katie, a nurturing, honest, dependable confidant supported me through my life.
The secret to a successful marriage is great girlfriends!! I am honored to be a part of her marriage to CJ as I consider Katie to be a life-long friend.

I've known Katie for a little over 20 years now. WOW,.. that's a long time! We lived on the same street together and we first met while riding our big wheels. I distinctly remember the threatening feeling that consumed me when I saw another girl on the block.... competition!! Katie turned out to be a really neat friend and we've shared a lot of fun times together.
I had a tree house in my backyard and Katie and I would play out there for hours. We had everything inside from a phone, a plastic picnic table, to pictures hung,... we were set! One of us would go down to the creek behind the house and get water for "the kiddos" while the other would pick fruit from the trees and make dinner. As you can see we had the system down pat. I'm not sure why we didn't just use the phone to call for take out??
Here's a story I LOVE to tell. My dad coached our softball team, The Flamingos. In case you were wondering, we were REALLY good. Megan was the catcher, I was second base, and Katie was outfield. We were soooo good that we made it to the playoffs. One particular time, it looked like it was going to storm, but we were pushing through it, doing our pre-game warm-up as usual. Something happened to Ms.Katie that is pretty funny NOW, that wasn't funny then. You should ask her about it..... it'll get you a laugh!!! :)
Of course we had to get older, but Katie and I still did the fun things together... like Driver's Education!!! :)
Also, we both joined the Cougarettes and the Golden Girls Drill Teams together. We both did our own things after high school allowing us to grow in our own ways and experience the world as we expand our wings. Coming back home with open eyes and a new perspective has allowed us to renew our friendship with a closer bond and a brighter vision for the future.
I could go on and on, but I guess that's what wedding day is for, so I'll save a couple hundred more of my stories for then. I will say that I'm so proud of you Katie. I love you so much and I'm so grateful to still have your friendship in my life. You are a selfless, caring, and accepting person. Congratulations on all your accomplishments and I know there are many more to come. I look forward to spending your big day with you both!!
Well, where do I start...I guess at the beginning. CJ and I met at Baby Dolls on a balmy August evening here in Dallas. We were actually fighting over one of the dancers named Cinnamon. He won, but I didn't quit without a fight and a couple of lap dances.
No, Seriously CJ and I worked together and became friends at Carat which is an advertising agency in Dallas that handles RadioShack. He was a buyer and I was a planner, and we sat accross from each other my first year there. We were the only two guys in an office of stressed out, menopausal women so he was the only one that I could carry on a conversation without them breaking into tears. He was there for me through my divorce and him along with Katie have been an influential part of my 5-year-old daughter's life. Avery really looks forward in seeing them, and that is truly a blessing. Being new to Dallas moving from Oklahoma, he was my first true Dallas friend.
The word friend is actually an understatement...CJ is more like a 2nd brother to me. He's the one I call first when it comes to relationship issues, work questions or even sports tid-bits. We actually butt heads when it comes to Pro Football because he is a die-hard KC Chiefs fan and I'm a die-hard Denver Broncos fan. If you know CJ and Katie...they are TALL! I feel like I'm a midget in their world of giants. But for their size, they are the kindest people in the world.
CJ is a ladies man to say the least, so landing a beautiful girl like Katie isn't no surprise to me. In the old days, many stories could be told, but I'll save those for another day. Katie is the best thing that ever happened to CJ though. I've known him for almost 7 years and have never seen him as happy as he is with Katie. They go together like "peas and carrrots", "oysters and beer" and "Diet coke and Elijah Wood" =)
Congratulations to you both and I'm looking forward to sharing your most gloriuos day.
