Shaun and I went to college together. We met my Freshman year, it was his Junior year. But it wasn't until I was getting ready to graduate that we started dating. It was interesting because Shaun lived in Columbia, S.C. and I was, at the time, living in Charleston, S.C. and getting ready to move back to Chicago with my family.
Shaun and I spent two years in a long distance relationship and let me tell you, that was one of the most trying times in our lives. Long distance was tough. When I started Graduate School at the University of South Carolina in Columbia it was the first time Shaun and I had ever lived in the same city since we had been dating.
