Our Story

How We Met

How We Met

The story has been interpreted many different ways, depending on the storyteller! But it all happened on August 6, 2005. I had made plans with my good friend Kerry to go out for drinks in Boston. We ended up at The Harp - which is where Adam and I ultimately met. Adam ended up approaching the two of us to introduce himself, and we found out he was there for his friend Tim's bachelor party (We owe it all to you, Tim and Em!). Kerry and I ended up hanging out with him and his friends for the night. We enjoyed a few drinks while admiring the break-dancing moves of my future-brother-in-law, Jason! .......And after Adam found out where the heck Whitman was, and I found out where North Reading was, we never looked back and have been together ever since! :)

How We Got Engaged

October 22, 2006 (after the Pats game, of course!)
How We Got Engaged

We were at Adam's parents house for the annual 'October Birthday' party, of which Adam and I were 2 of the birthdays being celebrated. Adam's dad asked him to deliver the toast. He raised his glass and began his speech...."I just wanted to wish everyone with an October Birthday, a very Happy Birthday! It's great to have all the family together on these types of occasions. Traditionally, at this point, we'd have the kids open their gifts, but before we do that, I have a special gift of my own I'd like to give out this year...I feel it's only appropriate that I preface this gift with a question......." (Now the whole time I've been trying to take a picture with my new digital camera, of him giving the toast to add to my collection of pictures from that day, but was frustrated because he wouldn't turn and face my direction) The next thing I notice is him walking over to me with THE RING BOX IN HIS HAND!! He got down on one knee in front of me and said, "Will You Marry Me?" Without hesitation, I said "YES!!" as I was shaking uncontrollably....he told me to put on the ring....as I proceeded to say his name at least a thousand times in disbelief! It was the biggest and best surprise of my life! We both couldn't be more excited about this and are really happy to share our excitement and happiness with all of our friends and family!
