These companies and people are the ones chosen to deliver our dream wedding. They've been carefully picked for their work quality and professionalism, as well as their sense of humor and fun personalities. =) True, we want our day to be solemn and well-organized. But we also want a touch of laughter with everything that has to do with our day.
I found it! Finally. We will have the ceremony at the garden (if the weather cooperates) and the reception at The Pavilion. If it rains, both events will be at the Pavilion.
Thanks to Lea and Mems for braving the unknown territories of the North to help me find my wedding venue. =)
It's not final, but my heart has been taken and captured by Bizu. Audrey, the Marketing Manager (and my AE) has been so helpful, even going beyond the food by giving tips and contacts.
My food tasting is scheduled on the 21st of June and my bridesmaid Lea gets to be the lucky one to help me sample the menu. But knowing Bizu, it'll probably be sumptuous!
But pretty much, the decision is made... If only I can decide between the choco fountain and the dessert buffet... Hehehe...
One of the most in demand suppliers in the W@W network... See? He has reached that one-name status only accorded to people like Madonna and Beyonce. =)
So happy he will be my photographer.
Jayson is a popular choice in the weddings@work egroups not only for his talent but also for his good work ethics. He is very easy to deal with and he compromises with his clients. He will be doing our Audio Visual Presentation for the reception.
Bim who is our contact person, responds quickly and nicely to all my emails. We also like the fact that their work is fun, quirky and executed well. Hope the output on the wedding day will be as good as the samples on their site, which you can visit to see what they are capable of doing. Enjoy!
Barbi is the chief makeup artist of Maybelline Philippines. 'Nuff said. =)

Bill is an angel. =) He has the right to say he is a dream maker as he is such a dream to deal with. Warm, open and yet very honest. He not only LISTENS, but also gives input. What's more, he lives so near my place. Convenience, quality and cost - indeed a dream come true.
First fitting on December 29, 2007.

Exclusively His has been around since 1965. It's a low-key tailoring company that exudes of class and sophistication, from the store exterior to its staff. Not only were they knowledgeable and helpful, they are also affordable and flexible with scheduling (considering they only have two weeks to make Ken's suit.
Rea: I absolutely detest entourage dresses that look like... well, entourage dresses. Not to offend anyone, but I prefer dresses that look ready to wear, and are designed and done in such a way the owners will actually WANT to wear them come wedding day and on other occasions.
I met with different designers, who frustrated me immensely (either with their work ethics or the cost). Bill, who I trusted to make my gown, came to the rescue with a package that fit my budget. I already know how he works (considering the client's preference, but certainly not a pushover), so I decided to just work with him for all entourage dresses. After all, he said to me, "I will make your dreams come true."
Who can resist that? =)

Mang Rey is another Weddings@Work find. He comes all the way from Lumban, to showcase his barong wares to brides in Manila. His pina and jusi creations are well-done and reasonably priced.
He will be making all the male entourage barongs, with different materials and designs.
Booked this supplier during the Romancin the Bay event at 1Esplanade. Not only were the owners nice, they were very helpful too! Got the design I want, and lotsa freebies, within my budget. =)

April and Karen Yu are acclaimed for their styling work and their floral decor. We do not know much about flowers so we are leaving the choices up to them. April and Karen are also among the most responsive styling suppliers we have met, and we especially like the fact that they are also located in the South. Their work has been featured in Wedding Essentials and Metro Weddings. The website also features some of their output. Check them out!

Ciara has been making a name for herself as a jewelry maker, specializing in wired pieces. As I said to my friend Faye, I wanted to give my entourage items that have a touch of being personalized. I chose the stones and gems that will go into the pieces. So... That qualifies as a DIY project, without my having to do it. Hahaha...
Ciara is really nice and listens to the client's ideas. Can't wait to see the finished products.
She will also make my headpiece and help bead my gown. =)

With the search for OTD coordinators, it came down to the two best within the w@w community: Clarice Avinante (An Event to Remember) and Queen David (Just Like Ours). While both ladies are nice and very organized (reviewed extremely well, too!), I chose Clarice simply because she is more like me. =) A UP grad and a kikay at heart, she also demonstrates a firmness and strength underneath a feisty veneer. So... I chose her!
I know I made the right choice.
I already inquired from Cardprints a few months back when I was in SM. I found a design I liked but didn't really see the need to reserve. It was a great surprise for me to see them at the Wedding Expo (September 2007) as they had discounts and freebies to offer. I ended up getting the same design I initially picked, but at a much lower price.
Cardprints are also at par with the other suppliers at the expo and those relatively known in the w@w group, but do not cost as much. What is fantastic about them is that i can work with them online (email exchanges for instructions are acceptable). They work really quickly, too!

A weddings@work find. Rejektcrew has always received positive, even glowing reviews that we felt like looking no further. Elmer Bautista was polite on the phone and so easy to talk to as well. We have no doubt that they will deliver well on our day.
Mallory is a professional wedding emcee who is quite well-known in weddings@work. Being an English major and managing an English training company, Rea knew that the emcee would be subject to her trainers' well honed assessment skills and reflect on her as well. So, she made sure to get someone who had excellent command of English and extensive experience as a host.
Mikey is Rea and Ken's friend from Southville. Always a well-spoken gentleman, he has been a firm supporter of Team Rea and Ken from Day 1. A graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University and currently involved in theater, Mikey is the perfect partner for Mallory.
The Linden Suites have always received good reviews for its amenities and service. It is also highly recommended by Clarice (Rea and Ken's coordinator).
JP Bartholomew has always arranged for FuturePerfect trips here and overseas.
He will do Ken's ticketing for his trip to the Philippines and back to Oz, as well as making the arrangements for our honeymoon trips to Boracay and Davao.
Nothing beats this network of giddy brides and grooms. The exchange of information is so helpful, the promos fun, and the support so firm and strong. Thanks to the efforts of John and Benz Rana!
This site is such a delight for DIY people. The projects showcased by brides here inspire me so much to actually be a bit more hands-on.
The bee logo on this site was the inspiration for our own bee logo.
