Pictures tell thousands of stories. Here's hoping that all the pictures on this site will show you the adventures and misadventures we experienced while planning for this wedding. =)
The abubots galleries may be a spoiler for those attending the wedding, so I suggest you proceed with caution, hehehe... Took pictures and posted of the stuff I made and already have to provide inspiration to other brides, partcularly those from weddings@work.
This gallery features my invites, printed by Cardprints. The bee seal is by Norman Lleses, with my mom the star supplier of the custom-sized envelops. =) We couldn't find a ready made 8 by 8 envelop, so mama bravely said, "Ako bahala!", Thanks mom. Yer the best!
I swore I would not use nor make a monogram... But with time in my hands and MS Publisher just waiting to be used, I found myself creating one! Hehehe... I have fallen into the typical bride category who wants things swirly and traditional. I chose to use the font I used for the Save the Date and Invites to maintain uniformity. Watch out where this monogram shows up at the wedding! =)
This gallery shows the "stuff" that will be used during the wedding. Some are in their natural state. Yet others will still be enhanced. =) You'll have to wait until after the wedding to see the "finished products" documented.
These photos show the dresses and the entourage members. =) I am very happy with the way my designs (YES! I designed the dresses!) turned out. Special thanks to Bill Calubaquib. Again, Bill - YOU ROCK!
The final output will be photographed and revealed at the wedding.
I merged the maps sent to me by fellow w@wies Joanne M. and Chell sent me. Here is the finished product in JPEG, but I used publisher for the layout.
Is my layout more or less correct? I wanted options for people to come from the south (via Edsa), the north (via Aurora Blvd.) and Manila (via Espana).
Who would've thought almost four years ago that the boy and girl who met at PTTC would end up together and tying the knot?
These are just some of the pictures we have when we were still together here in the Philippines. Sadly, we don't have any recent pictures since Ken left for Australia. But we will have more as soon as he gets home, and when we are together in Australia.
Rather than post the pictures taken during my first gown fitting, I decided create a bit of suspense by showing the highlights of the gown.
There was quite a bit of adjustment to be made (the skirt was too full, creating a traditional Korean dress effect; the bodice was a bit big; the petticoat did not create the flow I wanted; etc.). I look forward to February 17 when I will return for my second fitting.
The finished product! So pleased with the work of Cardprints.
The design came from an invitation site (can't remember which one!), and I liked the idea of having similar colored cards and envelops.
Here are more pics of the straps and headpiece that were created by Ciara Marasigan Serumgard. Materials used were gold wire, amethyst, rose quartz and Swarovski crystals in the pink to plum palette.
The pieces came in beautifully designed white resin boxes. Since I had the entourage gifts made by Ciara, these also come in the same boxes that can double up as jewelry boxes.
Truly worth thr trip to Makati and the investment. Thanks, Ciara!
I have always wanted to be a model. Or an actress. Or maybe both, hahaha... But, it was not meant to happen. So, when the opportunity came up to be a model for a day and to have my picture taken by a noted photographer, I jumped at the chance. I saw the email blast on Weddings@Work and just decided to go for it. Not alone of course. I had with me Lea and Mhems, sidekicks and entourage members extraordinaire...
We had so much fun first going to the pictorial, then the Oasis ocular before having dinner at Bluewave. Not to mention, the birth of the the phrase, "TO THE STRAIGHT!" c/o Lea the great. Hehehe...
These pictures were taken during the first time we inspected Oasis. We came from the pictorial with Fol Rana. Good thing that there was a wedding going on at the time because we saw the place "in action". Made the decision to book it on the spot.
Trivia: Earlier that day, I said to Lea and Mhems, "Please help me cut down on costs by stopping me from making unnecessary purchases...". When the time came to decide on whether I would get Oasis or not, both Lea and Mhems were kind of hesitant... Well, they were not encouraging me at all. Turns out they didn't want me to spend and were carrying out my wish to help me in cutting back!
Hehehe... =)
We've finally chosen what we will wear on our wedding day. Soon, we will have our measurements taken (October). Can't wait to see the final product!
These were the designs we chose for the barongs. Earlier, Ken and I agreed to keep the designs simple and stick to geometric patterns. All the designs have that element and will have two-tone embroidery (gold and cream) on off white cloth.
Rea: Even after meetings with designers and so many changes, this particular design really caught my eye. It's fun and flirty yet classy (of course, the chest area will not be as exposed, hehe!). So this will be the main inspiration for all the female entourage dresses. Some tweaking will be done, to suit each lady's frame and height.
The pictures tell it all! Bella Vista was a beautiful place, but afforded no backup for rain. We're posting the pictures so you can also appreciate the beauty of nature as captured by our cameras.
After the ocular, it was lunch time at Leslie's to celebrate Rea's 26th. We had so much fun!
Here are some pictures of Villa Immaculada, a venue suggested by my best friend Mhems.
