We wanted the wedding to be bright and festive feeling. We've asked all our guests to wear hot pinks, reds, royal purples... let's see what happens.
Here's what the bridal party is wearing.
Ken is wearing a Calvin Klein 2-button with a platinum vest and tie.
The fellows are wearing the same tux with a black patterned vest and a tie, close to this color, called Sangria. Both the fathers are wearing the same tux with a black vest and black tie.
Ken is a mechanical engineer, so we wanted a special nod to that in his outfit. We ordered rings that are made out of clock gears that the florist will mold into holders for the groomsmen's boutonnieres. These were made by Etsy artisan FreakShowStar.
For the bridesmaids I wanted to give something that could be worn any time, at the wedding or not. I love Cape Cod jewelry and it's a momento from New England so it makes a great gift for the bridesmaids who are mostly from out of state. http://www.capecodjewelers.com/cpoint201/category.htm?categoryId=17398&catalogStyleId=133">Cape Cod Jewelers.
Ken's two nieces will be the flower girls. Still unsure about what to have them carry because our church doesn't allow flowers to be thrown...
We're getting their dresses at David's Bridal in "Sangria" with a flowery sash. The color closely matches the bridesmaids.
I've always loved Spanish inspired gowns and style...
Ken do not look... hit the BACK key now...
Shoes are Carnation by Caparros, bought at DSW. They're REALLY comfortable and were under my budget! While I was there I found a pair with a lower heel for $7 that were cute, so I'll keep those for later in the evening.
I bought some rhinestone shoe decorations as my "something blue" but I also plan to attach my grandmother's broach with blue stones to my bouquet.
My dress was by Pronovias. Here's a photo from the final dress fitting.
