To ensure we achieve togetherness in the little time we have after catering to work, and laptop, and TV and friends some terms we have both agreed to:

Shopping shall be attended to every fortnight, while going out for movies shall happen on alternate weekends. Incase, husband dozes off during the movie, wife is not expected to reiterate the story during the movie. Husband and wife both agree not to entertain long phone calls during the movie.

Husband shall not take full possession of the TV set, during 5-day matches. Wife shall not watch the entire howly/crying series. She shall also promise not to cry while watching movies, especially if husband’s friends are around. Husband shall not swear and curse the ball/baller in case the latter behaved in an un-favourable manner

Both agree to give up the throne and the remote in case the other has visitors.

While in public places, Husband shall refrain from openly oogling at girls in short /deep neck dresses.

Wife shall not make any comments on toned muscles, and fitness (read absence of paunch) of others.

Both are allowed cursory glances while at the gym. Additionally, wife is allowed to go swimming with the excuse of poor eyesight, while husband is allowed to stand at the corner pretending being busy learning.

When maid goes on vacation the following shall be agreed upon:

Him:

Washing clothes,

Doing dishes

Taking out garbage

Her:

Cooking (no non-veg,) except chapattis

Dusting & cleaning

Ironing
