My cousin (sister) and best friend. Katie and I have grown up living next door to each other and were pretty much inseperable our whole lives. I consider her my sister. There are so many things we have been able to do and experience together-- from the many childhood memories to getting engaged in the same year and getting to plan our weddings together! Not to mention the fact that we are both marrying men named Andrew! :)
Katie, I am SO thankful for you and for everything you have done for me! You have always been there whenever I have needed help with anything even if it is something as silly as what to wear when I get engaged. :) I don't know what I would do without you! I am so excited to have you stand next to me on our wedding day! :)
My other sister! :) Kelley is also my cousin that I have had the privelige of growing up with! I can't express enough how thankful I am that our parents decided to live nextdoor to each other. I love being able to be best friends with my cousin! I always looked up to Kelley and although she has been away from home for the past 5 years, I look forward to the times when I am able to go visit her (and Katie) in Birmingham or when she comes home.
I love you, Kelley! :)
I have only known Lindsey for 3 years, and sometimes I find that very hard to believe because I feel like I have known her my whole life! I have developed a friendship with her that I will cherish forever. She is one of the sweetest and most talented people you will ever meet. She is a huge encouragement to me in so many ways-- And I appreciate her SO much for that! We have shared many memories over the years-- road trips, early mornings, sleep overs, and the most recent, GETTING ENGAGED! She will be getting married on January 1, 2011 and I couldn't be happier for her! It's been so fun having such a good friend to share this exciting season of life with! :)
Whenever I need someone to talk to or a good laugh, Allison is always there for me! Although she been in South Carolina for school, we often ichat to talk about life's recent happenings. She has an awesome sense of humor and has the ability to make anything fun! There is never a time when we are not laughing when we are together. She is one of my closest friends that I can talk to about anything (She's the one I always went to and told about my secret love for Andrew!:) and I can't imagine my big day without her standing up there with me! :)
Rachel is one of Andrew's sisters. She is super fun and creative and is always thinking of something fun to do! And she is a great person to just sit down and talk to about anything and everything. She writes incredible songs and is extremely talented in web design. She took our engagement pictures and designed our Save the Dates. She is just AMAZING! I also had the privilege of spending 7 weeks in China with Rachel in the summer of 2008, where I *really* got to know her! ;)
Love you, Rachel!
Ruth is so sweet! I've enjoyed getting to know her over the years. It seems like I learn something new about her every time I see her and I've really loved the extra time I've gotten to spend with her recently, and am looking forward to having her as my sister! And she is an OUTSTANDING cook--someday I hope can cook food half as good as she can! :)
Bethany is another one of Andrew's beautiful sisters. She was also on the China trip. So I spend lots of time with her and got to know her quite well! :)
She was married in December 2009. Although they were married before us, we started our relationships within weeks of each other. She, Dan, Andrew and I would often double date! It was so fun to spend time with Bethany and get to know Dan, and experience that season of life together!
Gaining 8 sisters is SO exciting! And I couldn't be happier to have Elizabeth as a sister. She is so sweet and so fun and I just love being around her! Elizabeth and I have always been match up with each other whenever we play any sort of athletic game. So I never get to be on the same team as her, but we always have lots of fun and she challenges me and makes me play harder! Love you, Elizabeth!
Matthias has always been the life of the party around our house. And has been the brother that shared a bedroom with me since I was 12. Needless to say he knows me pretty well. He has always been always encouraging and witty. And I couldn't ask for more in a brother. He also makes a pretty classy chofer...
Stephen is a younger brother that I really look up to. really. Stephen has become my workout buddy the past few years and is always a good challenge to take on in volleyball! I always enjoy bouncing ideas around with Stephen and always like hearing his perspective.
I don't think I could ask for more in a big brother than what Josiah has been for me. Always an encourager, wether pushing me to be the best I can be at something, or just being able to have a good talk about life. He's been a great mentor in my life. I have many great memories of escapades with Josiah. And maybe a few that didn't turn out so well! And I should mentioned that his wife Abi is a great cook and responsible for me not losing weight when my family is not around.
Micah and I got to know know each other very well when we went to Ukraine together a few summers ago. And there are times I feel like he's more of a brother than a friend. Memories include hiking and camping, preparing bible studies, and making yogurt bombs to name a few. If you need help making a meal anytime soon, don't ask Micah!
