Krista and Jimmy met at Austin College where they were both members of the soccer teams. They started dating during the fall semester of Krista’s senior year or Jimmy’s junior year. With Jimmy spending the spring semester in Barcelona and Krista graduating, they decided to be just friends, although they knew they had something special.

After graduation, Krista went to the University of North Texas to pursue a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. Despite the distance, the two remained in contact. When Jimmy finished his degree, he enrolled in the master’s program in Economics at UNT. At the same school once again, the two recognized that their feelings for one another still existed and got back together.

During the time they spent together (weekend study dates, Sunday night dinners with Krista’s family, vacations, trips to San Angelo to visit Jimmy’s family), their relationship grew, and it became clear that they were right for each other.
