Travis and I met when he worked for a company called VWR. He came into my lab trying to sell me all the supplies chemists need. We would talk for hours about everything from baseball to bosses.

After hanging out for over a year, he finally asked me out, catching me completely off guard. In fact, due to the quickness of my 'yes', he hung up the phone thinking, 'She didn't hear me ask her out.' Needless to say, I am truly happy that he did because it was the best first date ever! I didn't want the night to end.

On August 9th, Travis told me that we were meeting my Mom and brother at the Rusty Pelican for lunch. I thought nothing of meeting my family for a bite. My Mom called and said that she and Warren were running late. When we got to the Rusty Pelican, Travis suggested going to the gazebo to look at the water. Little did I know that this was the place he would ask me to marry him...and a few months later, we are getting married :)
