Kent & Kat

You might feel a shaft of light make its way across your face

1. Which do you use more often? The Dictionary of the Thesaurus?
Kat: Thesaurus, but I use the dictionary passively a lot, because I get "word of the day" e-mails.
Kent: Dictionary. I usually have a harder time defining words then finding another word to replace it.

2. Have you ever been snorkling, scuba diving, surfing?
Kat: Yes, no, no. The ocean is beautiful and scary. Have you ever seen Shark Week? Anywhere you go in the ocean, there is also a shark in the ocean at any given time!
Kent: Snorkling in Hawaii or a swimming pool. That's about it. I don't have the equipment or the courage for scuba diving and I don't have the coordination for surfing.

3. If you could go back in time, which era would you choose?
Kat: In another life, I'm an archaeologist, so this question is hard to answer. The 1920's, Medieval Scotland, 1800's Italy, Ancient Mesopotamia, the 60's or 70's, and Ancient Egypt.
Kent: Back in time? Ha! I want to go FORWARD in time. Unless I'm one of the rich or lucky people of the past eras, it sucked to be poor or middle class. I would have loved Victorian England, if it was an Aristocrat. I would have loved the twenties if I was a famous actor or a Mafia Boss. So, I won't pick a time period to have just been "Joe Everyman". I would need things to be a certain way.

4. What's the sickest you've ever been?
Kat: Probably when my whole family had food poisoning for like 2 weeks or when I had Mono & Bronchitis at the same time.  I missed almost a month of school.
Kent: Chicken pox. Or Bronchitis.  It took me out for like a week and a half.

5. What's your favorite form of exercise?
Kat: Swimming, cardio on a stationary bike, upper body weight training..
Kent: Well, my first answer might not be appropriate for the survey, so I'll just say stationary bike and weight lifting..

6. What's your favorite eighties song?
        Kat: Just one? Ha!
Kent: "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey, off the top of my head.

7. What did you do for your 16th birthday?
Kat: My mom rented a limo for me and two friends. We played mini golf and the limo driver got lost. We watched the search for JFK Jr.'s plane on the tiny t.v.
Kent: I don't actually remember. I'm pretty sure it was unremarkable.

8. What would your superpower be?
        Kat: Time stop.
Kent: Invulnerability/Immortality. I could never get sick or injured. I could live forever with Kat and nothing could touch us. That's assuming she had the power as well. If she didn't, I wouldn't want it.

9. Have you ever participated in a protest?
Kat: Once, against a store that sold racist music..
        Kent: Not really, no.
