Lacey & Doran

So it's official... we're getting hitched!

Let the planning madness begin!

11 days to go!!!

We're 11 days away from the big day and eek! it's getting exciting! So many loose little ends to tie up... last little details to get set... and it's all coming together. :) Right now we're just waiting for Doran's wedding band to arrive... it's been a bit of an ordeal. But other than that we're all set! Officiant? Check! Cake? Check! Reception Venue? Check! Doran's Suit? Check! My dress? Check! Favors? Check! Hotel Accommodations? Check! 8 piece brass band? Check! Rings? Almost Check!...

Getting closer and closer to the big day!

Well... we're just under 3 months from the big day and it seems that as each day passes, I'm able to check another little something off the to-do list, which is an excellent feeling. :)
We've booked the reception sight (this was actually the very first thing we did.. lol)
We sent out the STD's (Save the Dates) about 2 months ago

we're beginning the "register" process!

We spent a good 2 hours at Super Target today starting to register for things we need and want. A lot of what we registered really were more "want" than "need", but I guess that's how these things are supposed to be. lol. Over the next few days we'll fine-tune the registry for Target... and we'll be registering through Crate & Barrel (of course, due to Mom's connections... wink wink...lol) and through MyRegistry.com, which allows you to register for things that aren't collectively...

We've picked the location and a tentative date!

We've finally picked a destination and a tentative date.... New Orleans, Louisiana Saturday, February 28th, 2009! We figured since it's the place where we really fell in love... that it holds so much more meaning than anywhere else we were considering. There's so many more things to do in New Orleans than there is to do here in Alabama.... or in South Florida... And since, due to extenuating family circumstances, we weren't able to hold the ceremony in Ocho Rios, Jamaica...
