Getting closer and closer to the big day!

Well... we're just under 3 months from the big day and it seems that as each day passes, I'm able to check another little something off the to-do list, which is an excellent feeling. :)

• We've booked the reception sight (this was actually the very first thing we did.. lol)
• We sent out the STD's (Save the Dates) about 2 months ago
• We've gotten the permit set up for the ceremony sight
• We've set up a block of rooms at a hotel in the area for all of our guests
• We've ordered my new engagement ring... (it's shipping out this Monday and should hopefully be here by Tuesday if not Wednesday by the latest)... here it is:

Still to be done:

• We're in the process of booking the honeymoon
• We're finalizing the invitations and getting them to the printer soon so that they can all be mailed out on New Years (or thereabouts)
• We're gathering items for the "welcome" bags
• We're working on the playlist for the reception
• We're in the process of picking out a bakery, a hair salon, an officiant and a florist.
• We're in the process of hiring the band.

My dress came in the mail 2 weeks ago... but much to my dismay... it needed some serious work, so it had to be sent back to the dressmaker. Even with meticulously detailed measurements it didn't fit anything like I had anticipated and just wasn't at all what I had expected. I should hopefully be getting the altered dress by this weekend... and then, if worse comes to worse, I can move on to plan B, which is to get a different dress all together. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything will be ok.

So... for now... I'm just going with the status quo. :)
