Fat Yogi Cottages
Our friend, Faye, suggested this place and she had a good experience staying there. Room with AC or fan is available, big bathroom with hot water, big swimming pool and the room is quite nice as well. Price is around Rp. 190,000 (AUD 24) per night for old room and Rp. 230,000 (AUD 29) for new room. The most important is, they have free wifi.^_^ It is located in Kuta, and it is only about 45 mins to 1 hour max from our wedding place.

This is one of the oldest hotels in the Kuta-Legian area (around 30 minutes from Sanur). The hotel itself is beautiful, it has a lovely pool, free internet and free airport pickup/drop off if you book online. It's situated right in the heart of Kuta which means it's close to shopping, but is also in one of the slightly rougher touristy areas. Costs around $100AUD a night.

A lovely 3-4 star hotel - beautiful gardens, nice pool, right on the beach, etc.

Panorama Cottages
A great budget option. Simple but clean and with great gardens and pool. About half an hour's drive from the wedding location but walking distance to Bali's nightlife.

This is a smaller boutique style hotel situated right next to the beach. It's a bit more modern looking than Poppies and slightly more expensive (around $100-120AUD per night)
Puri Bambu

Lovely hotel with great buffet breakfasts included. Costs around $65US a night for an air-conditioned room, including airport pick up and drop off (airport is only 10 minutes away). Can walk to beach, it's a fishing beach during the day, but turns into beach restaurants at night. You can book online but it often says it’s fully booked when it’s not, so best to call if the internet doesn’t work.

Ubud Inn

This place is located about an hour's drive from Sanur, but comes very highly recommended by Luke and Leli's friend, Brynna. Located on Monkey Forest Rd, the main draw card of the hotel is its beautiful gardens and super-friendly/helpful staff. If it’s free, Brynna recommends requesting room number 211 which is on the second floor and hidden away in the nooks of overhanging trees. Other rooms around that number are also family favourites. Head up Monkey Forest Rd for shopping, food, the market and cultural performances, or head down the hill to see the monkey forest. Brynna recommends requesting a bicycle tour from Blue Eyes if you stay here.
