Visit Media, PA
Media has changed a lot in the last 20 years and has become a cute little burg of restaurants and tchotchke shops. Friday, November 23 is the annual Santa's Arrival parade, when the big red guy himself arrives atop a firetruck and lights Media's Christmas Tree. If you want to go sing Christmas carols atonally with Ted in public, now's your big chance!
Brandywine River Museum
Three generations of Wyeths. Note that their annual Christmas exhibition starts November 23, and the museum can be exceptionally crowded on the first weekend after Thanksgiving. But if you want to see O-gauge trains and handmade Christmas ornaments from natural indredients (seed pods, pine cones, etc.), you shouldn't miss this.
Longwood Gardens
Longwood Gardens also tends to be very crowded on the first weekend after Thanksgiving, but their holiday decorations are fantastic.
